cheap rental car?

we will be staying in disney the first week of march. We were going to rent a car the last couple of days to look at real estate. with the costs of transfers from the airport to the Boardwalk, we figured we just may be better off renting a car for the entire week. Does anyone have any rental codes or know of any discounts? Thanks again everyone!

Renting a car is definitely the way to go! Check each individual website for the different companies, Alamo, Enterprise, etc. and watch for their specials. There are also some codes at mousesavers.com sometimes. We used a code this past Nov and got a mid-size SUV for the whole week for under $200 from Budget. The code was on the Budget website itself b/c they were doing a special for that particular week. I have found that in looking for specials on lodging, you must do it early. For specials on transportation, last minute may do just fine. Good Luck!!

You might want to look at www.mousesavers.com , she posts all kinds of specials for many agencies....I got a compact from National for $81/week ($104 after taxes/fees/etc) over easter week...so it was cheaper than getting 4 of us to WDW from the airport and back.

Also try every organization, union or whatever that may have a discount code. I search all over for a car for our coming trip around Easter. The rates were outrageous. I check the Teamster website for a discount code and was able to get a full size car for $20/day plus taxes from Budget. Believe it or not the all the samller cars were more expensive 40-50/day. Go figure.

I found a friend of mine the same price for the same time frame through Sam's Club.

There is always priceline. I have used them in the past and had good success. But that was when all car companies were off the airport.

me too to drive in April and the rates are way more expensive then last year, almost the same as flying, sooooo frustrated.
