That is why I decided to try a different brand when my HP printer died but I hate my new one (see above).I was looking right before all this craziness happened & I started noticing a really weird trend where college priced printers seemed to require owner to sign onto some kind of ink subscription. When I read reviews I saw some people complained if they disengaged from the service the co will turn off the printer, Even if they actually had ink left. Are there any inexpensive printers that are not that? The more I tried to research it the more it seemed like they wanted me to buy the printer and then figure out I was handcuffed to it.
If you use the instant ink they will turn off the cartridges the second you stop service. You can buy Hp cartridges and use those.I was looking right before all this craziness happened & I started noticing a really weird trend where college priced printers seemed to require owner to sign onto some kind of ink subscription.
