My son wants to have a knight party for his 6th birthday. I am thinking of making tunics for all the boys out of pillowcases of royal colors (red, green, blue, yellow, purple) then trimming them with cold cord from the fabric store.

Any ideas where I can get cheap pillowcases??? There will be 13 kids, so hopefully less than $4 a piece.

Last year at camping the kids decorated pillowcases for their halloween bags....I got them at K-Mart....they were just a no-name brand (not Martha Stewart or whatever they carry too)...but I remember they were like 4 dollars for a 2 pack of them.......

Not sure if they still have them though.

Go to Wal-Mart. I was there a few weeks ago with DD to get a cheap pillowcase for naptime at preschool and they had lots of solid colored ones. If a remember they were under $3.

I've seen them at the Dollar Stores every now and then. I'd suggest Sam's Club or Costco or BJ's.

Or even go to a place like Penney's and look in the bargain bin.

You might want to buy them white and let the boys use laundry markers to draw their own "crests" on them.

Try Dollar Tree, you never know what you'll find there. Could you buy yardage for less?

Also try Bed, Bath and Beyond. They have a section for mismatched that are usually deeply discounted. Might work.
