We are trying to find a hotel for a one night stay prior to our flight to Orlando and we need parking for 14 days. Does anyone know of a hotel with airport shuttle, parking and reasonable rates?
Thanks for any help.

We've used 4 different ones so far-all have free shuttle, 15 days free parking and suitable rooms for a one night stay.

Quality Suites (make sure you book the one on Dixon not Quality Inn East)
Marriott
Holiday Inn Select
and Renaissance

All on Dixon and all were $119 plus tax.

Thanks mom_rules.
Actually,we found a Ramada Plaza Hotel for $89 that includes free parking up to 14 days and free shuttle.
Its about 10 to 15 minute drive from 401 and 400 to airport so we booked it.
thanks again

Great rate! Enjoy! Let us know how it works out.

I might rethink the Ramada Plaza if I were you. It is not on the airport strip. It's down off the 427. For the extra money you would be better to stay closer and in a much nicer hotel like the Holiday Inn Select. The Ramada is in dire need of renovations, my parents did the park and fly there in February, we took the kids for a swim, not the nicest of hotels. Just my opinion, but the Holiday Inn is so close and sooo much nicer.

Thanks for your response.
The whole point of us using a hotel room for one night (before we fly out ) is because we calculated the cost for Parknfly (about $100) and compared it to an airline limo or mini bus (approx $100 each way).We then looked at hotels.
The hotels on the strip (other than two I saw)do not offer a free shuttle, free parking for up to 14 days and a reasonable price.
As an example,to use the Holiday Inn Select (as House of Mouse suggested )would cost $156 for the room and $10 a day for parking (approx $276 plus tax in total).
We will be staying at the Ramada for $89 which includes free parking and shuttle (10 to 15 minute drive). Our flight requires us to be at the airport for 4-30am and luckily the Ramada shuttle service starts at 4am (others on the strip start at 5am).
We will probably be in the hotel from late on the Sunday night until very early Monday morning (sleep in bed,get up and leave ...no need to use facilities or pool etc).
I spoke to a work colleague who lives in Etobicoke and has used the hotel on 3 occasions and on 2 of these occasions stayed overnight. He said that its nothing fancy (a little old) but clean and reasonable.
Thats good enough for me.

No, actually all the hotels I listed are inclusive of shuttle and free parking for up to 15 days-All I ever paid was $119 for the one night (BTW-try using CAA discounts-pretty good sometime).

mmm...thats strange because I checked all of them last night (at several different websites) and the best I could do is:
Quality...$155 +tax
Marriot...$151(US) +tax
Holiday Inn Select.....$156 +tax
Renaissance...$139+tax
Unless you maybe used these hotels some time ago ?
or
a low season time of the year?

Last May2003, October 2003, Easter weekend 2004 and October 9 (Thanksgiving weekend) 2004.

Just ran the Holiday Inn Select again and got $120.95
Still $119 at Renaissance and Quality,
Marriott went up to $129 though.

If you don't mind me asking, where are you seeing these prices?
I just looked at the Holiday Inn's own website and the best price for the date I request is $156.95.
Now,if I type in a room for tonight ,then it is $122.95
(I think this is why we are seeing different prices, because the price difference from May to June is quite substantial)

I PM'd you the details. If you need more help-let me know.

Just to let you know we stayed at the Ramada. When it was time for us to leave for the airport they forgot about us. When we called to be picked up it took over 45 minutes. Not great after the flight and getting through customs. Also my hubby says to tell you the beds are really uncomfortable. Don`t want to start off to disney exhausted with a back ache. We will never stay there again. It was the cheapest and more in our budget but the aggravation was not worth it.

Just curious about something.
When you say that they forgot about you,do you mean that after having registered your name the night before and you coming down to meet the minibus at the front door at the appropriate time, they left without you ?
I hope all experiences with the Ramada are not as bad (apparently they have quite a number of customers using this "park/sleep/fly"service) and the price is definitely the best around.
To be perfectly honest,I really think we can survive 1 night in modest accomodations especially since we are on our way to (what we hope) will be a nice vacation.

No they did not leave us stranded. But when we came down to load the shuttle there was not a shuttle. They forgot we have booked it so we had to wait around until they got the driver an extra 20 minutes. makes you a little nervous to catch a plane. But we were more annoyed waiting for the shuttle to pick us up fortunately for you it will not be cold out. Because you have to wait outside for it and there are no seats. So I would suggest while your family is gettign ready in the morning one of you go down to make sure the shuttle is on time.

Good luck Maybe we just had a bad time. it can happen to anyone. I guess it wa our turn.:wave2:

May I suggest a different approach to the airport hotel situation?

You're in need of an airport hotel, if you're leaving on a wknd morning...stay at a nice hotel (I've previously said on these boards my picks are the Marriott (first choice), Sheraton, Renaissance, & Wyndham)....come in for dinner the night before...enjoy the pool/hot tub etc, enjoy the beautiful public areas of the hotel...order a movie, ....relax.

Go for the experience! I know every hotel on the Airport Strip...the cheap places (Ramada, Quality etc...) can't give you the same experience that the Marriott can and their bedding is usually pretty gross...(of course it's nice that the near $300 Marriott rate during the week drops to $119 on wknds!!!)

You seemed to do a lot of analysis...just wanted to give you another perspective.

Hope this helps.

Thanks to both Jersey Shark and Belle 1997 for your suggestions/opinions.
Without going into great detail, its suffice to say that we are doing this vacation last minute and on a tight budget.
The whole point of staying in the Ramada overnight was simply because of the prices we would have had to pay if were to use the alternatives.
We don't actually look at this hotel as being part of the vacation,so therefor its just a place to lay our head and park the car.
If I had the money I would love to stay at the likes of the Wyndham,Renaissance,Sheraton etc......but for our purposes the Ramada is quite sufficient (as I said earlier I have researched it quite a bit and also had a co-workers' personal opinion after 3 visits).
So,now its booked and we shall see how it works out.
I will make a point of replying to this thread after returning home to let others know if its worthwhile or not.
Thanks again for you help.

Thanks mom,we will!
and
I guess these 132 days cant go fast enough for you !
Have a good time !

Thanks to you too! Can't believe we just got back (a little over a month now) and are already booked to go again!

I can understand a budget that is why we originally stayed at the Ramada. But I can understand that the money would be better spent in Disney world. If I was stuck on having extra cash for Disney or staying in a more expensive hotel. Sure I would then pick the Ramada. Please do remember to check to make sure your shuttle is ready. That is my only real concern for you. Enjoy and have fun. :wave2:
