Cheap offsite with shuttles and breakfast??

My sons (27 &22)are looking to make a whirlwind trip to Orlando for the Universal Fright Night, one Universal day, one Disney day, and Blizzard Beach day. Can anyone recommend a cheap hotel that would have a shuttle to Disney, Universal and maybe even to and from the airport? They prefer not to rent a car, as they both will probably have a few beers. Free breakfast is a plus, too! Thanks!

Comfort Inn Suites Universal on Turkey Lake Rd.. I know they have a free hot breakfast, free internet & I want to say they have a free shuttle. I have never had a problem with them. I have always had a clean room & staff were very friendly. The hotel is right next to Dr Phillips Hospital, actually looks like they share the parking...

Shuttle services usually really limit you. Scheduled, inconvenient with pick ups at the park often leaving before park closing. If they want whirlwind they won't get it with a free shuttle.

Especially since they are going to Halloween Horror nights which is an after closing event.

As far as I know, only Disney has free transportation from the airport. Many properties offer theme park shuttles, but as mentioned, they won't be at convenient times for "whirlwind."

I'd go with either a rental car, or cabs, and just plan for the expense. It will be worth it.

The Comfort Inn Suites is on a bus line. Check the Lynx bus route schedule, it may offer some help on getting to the parks, and then they would only have to pay for a cab back......

When are they going to HHN? I might be going with my DD, who will be 22 by then I know she doesn't really want to hang out with mommy
If we go, we are going on an off peak night, it is cheaper & less crowded. We would be going on either a Thursday or Sunday... not sure..

The Comfort Inn on Palm Parkway, just down the road from the Suites on Turkey Lake does have a free Disney shuttle, I don't know about one for Universal. The hotel is closer to Disney than Universal. The other is closer to Universal. However they do not have a free breakfast. They usually give you a coupon where you buy one breakfast and get one half price.. if that helps ya

I might think of more as the day goes on.. I have stayed at so many different hotels, that I cannot remember who has what anymore. But like Brian N said, Disney is the only one to offer free transportation from the Airport. They may want to rent a car to get to & from there only. They can rent it one day each way & not have it during their stay.. it might be cheaper than a taxi/cab

Just checking some things I had in my fav's and I found the bus number your boys would need if they stayed on Turkey Lake. They need to take bus number 21 from where they would be (Sand Lake Commons) is the name of the stop to the Universal Parking Garage.. I haven't found the Disney one yet.. I hope this helps you....

There are a couple of Fairfields by Marriott within 2 miles of Universal that have shuttles to Universal. One is on I Drive. A shuttle to Disney may not be difficult to find. Fairfields have breakfast too!

don't go right to their site.. you pay more. Go to http://www.kayak.com/ Put in their travel dates, but don't click any of the "Compare sites in new window" options... just go with the search button. Then you will get all different resorts to look thru and go with the cheapest site. Just read the sites fine print on their refund policy... each is different.

Well, they ended up booking POP! With the 30% off the room, plus free shuttle to and from the airport, and to Epcot and Blizzard Beach, they will only have to cab to Universal one day. It actually worked out cheaper than staying off site. Thanks for all your input!

Ugh. I didn't see this deal, and tickets were already ordered directly from Universal, because you get 10 bucks off the Horror Night ticket when purchased with a regular ticket. But, on the confirmation email, it says "Best Price Guarantee". So, Universal asked me to forward the details. I would be happy to get a refund for the regular tickets, so we could then buy them from Dreams unlimited. Thanks for posting. This is a great deal!

I know you are already booked at the pop but just in case you need the info. Hampton Inn has locations near universal (walking distance and shuttles) that also include shuttle to disney and sea world. it is also on the I trolley which can help with dinner or wet n wild. It includes min fridge, microwave, safe for laptop, free internet, free buffet breakfast, small pool, and busines center. i am a big fan of the hampton chain and will return there on my next orlando visit.
