Cheap, Off-Site Hotel, Close to WDW or MCO

Hi! So, the flight we've chosen for our Oct '11 trip to WDW has us getting in to Orlando at 10:45 on Friday night, the 7th. We didn't see much point staying onsite that night (although we will be staying onsite for the remainder of our stay, at either Pop or Coronado Springs) since it will cost a lot extra for what will essentially just be a bed that night. So we're looking for a cheap hotel that's close to either MCO or WDW itself. We'll be renting a car, so transportation isn't an issue.

Basically, we're just looking for a cheap, safe room, and I didn't even know where to start looking. :confused3 Any suggestions?

Seems to fit all my requirements - thank you for the recommendation! It's just that it seems like it's not available for my date for some reason? Maybe I'm trying to book too far in advance? :confused3

There are a lot of inexpensive hotels around the MCO area. Also there is a Hyatt right inside of MCO which is normally very expensive but I can often get it on Hotwire for $59-75. So close you can see the line form at security if you have an inside balcony.
We love the convenience of being able to just walk to our room and crash. They even offer baggage claim for $10 if you don't feel like getting your bags, they'll deliver them to your room.
Usually when we arrive that late, it means we flew after work/school and are super tired. Once we had Tstorms down the whole east coast and our midnight arrival turned into a midnight departure! :headache:

Here is another site that offers the Hyatt for just $112 + tax.

If you search MCO as your destination, set filter for just airport area, then sort by star rating, usually it's the 2nd one that is the Hyatt 4* that says it's 3.84 miles to MCO. It doesn't show the name but does show photos. There should be 2 that show rooms, 1 for pool, 1 for lobby, 1 for restaurant.
I bought a night for us in Sept, and a night for my parents in Nov and this is definitely the Hyatt.

Good luck! :goodvibes

When I checked the hotel's website, they had your date available. Here is the link:

It look like the rate is $76 for a King size bed or $70 for two double beds. You might want to consider booking and then keep an eye out for cheaper offers (ie. bookit, etc.).

Edited to add: It looks like the hotel also offers AAA rates if you are a triple AAA member.

Thanks to both of you guys - this is a lot of consider, but I bet we'll get a deal either way. Thanks! :flower3:
