Cheap last minute flights?

Hi all,

I am hoping you may be able to give me a bit of advice, although it is not Disney/ Florida related but you guys seem to know a lot more about travel than I do! Due to a change in personal circumstances I now have a load of free time over the summer and would very much like not to be stuck at home. I am moving in September, but have some time to fill before then! I have a friend in Chicago that I would love to visit - I can leave the next day if necessary as I have nothing stopping me! I was just wondering if anyone was able to recommend the best places to look for last minute deals to make this possible for me?

i often use skyscanner for flight searches and have found some real bargains as you can show the whole month without having to search for specific days there and back.
sound like a great summer
