Cheap Italian charms at WDW?

I imagine that "cheap" and "WDW" don't really belong together....

DD6 is very keen to get an Ariel charm for her Italian charm bracelet. She's still very young, though, and not that responsible with her trinkets. She has a charm bracelet, but it's a cheapy, with a few dollar store charms on it (and one really cool but still inexpensive giraffe photocharm).

Do dollar store Disney charms exist - I guess in or out of the world? I know it's licenced stuff, so I expect that to be a problem, but does Disney in any way cater to the little girls?

Thanks,

Kris

You can find cheap charms for about $3. There isn't a huge selection though. I have not seen Ariel before on one of the 'cheap' ones. However, they do have the little clip-on charms that come in every character possible! They're adorable!

Unless they have added more in the last 3 months, the following are the $3 charms available:

Mickey
Minnie
Tinker Bell
Cinderella
Belle
Sleeping Beauty
Pooh
Tigger
Eeyore
Birthstone Mickey heads
metal mickey head
letters

I do believe there is an Ariel in the $25 charms, which are a better quality and have more of a selection. The $3 fit just fine and are great fillers to help quickly build a bracelet.

My daughter has all cheap ones and I have 1 with all of my good ones - can't really tell the difference.

They have made it through pools and showers etc... I too don't like to spend $$ on my daughters things - if her head was not attached she would not be able to find it!

I would steer away from the birthstone Mickey heads. We had to return 3 of them because the stones fell out. Good thing about it they were great at letting us return them, even the one that fell out on our way home from our last trip that we carted down again. Other than those charms we have been pleased with the quality of the $3 charms.

Cheap Charms are just that Cheap. For a young child they would be okay but older child or adult I would say buy less and get better quality with more expensive ones.

All the cheaper charms ($3) we have bought have either broken, faded, or had parts fall off.

Okay, that's good to know, thank you! At 6, she's going to have to make do with those $3 charms that are available!

I appreciate it!

I just got back and bought a few. They were all 4 dollars at World of Disney and that seemed to be the price at the hotels too. They may have gone up a buck. Still a nice keepsake. Bought the bracelet for 8 and came with a white rhinestone mickey head. Hope it doesn't pop out too.

Yeap, paid $4 for the Eeyore Italian Charm I bought also.

Fabulous, fabulous. I know what to pay and where to go, that's awesome, thank you, folks!

Has anyone seen a $3-$4 Ariel?

Thanks again!

Kris
