I've been watching the airline rates for months and I have finally found a great deal if I start my trip a day early. I'm staying at the Disneyland Hotel for 5 nights but I'm looking for a cheap place to stay the night before (arriving about 10:00 p.m.) it will literally be just a place to sleep. Then to further my savings, I'd like to be able to walk (luggage and all) to the Disneyland Hotel. Any suggestions of somewhere not too scary?

hi i have heard that thr jolly roger hotel is a nice place to stay and is cheap also it is right behind california disney .

My favorites that are just right across the street include Carousell Inn, Tropicana Inn, Howard Johnsons and Fairfield Inn. These are all on Harbor Blvd right across from the main entrace to DL. On W Katella, right behing California Adventure is the Anabella. This would probably be a closer walk to the DL Hotel. You can usually get a room for about $50-60 with AAA or Entertainment rate.

Abby's Anaheimer Inn is about the closest you can get south of the DL Hotel (Walnut and Katella), and it looks inexpensive but clean from the street. Never stayed there.

North of the DL Hotel on Walnut is the Holiday Inn Anaheim, which might be even closer but is likely more expensive.

There is an Extended Stay America about 3 blocks from the Disneyland Main Gate. Rooms are about $45 per night for a single (not sure about multiple people). Each room has 2 queen beds, a 2-burner stove, microwave, small fridge and some cookware & dining ware. Great for an inexpensive breakfast before heading to the park. Not much on amenities (pool is small, no game room), but if your only looking for a place to put your stuff and sleep, this might be your best choice.

We stayed at the Annabella last year and really enjoyed it.
It's only a 10 -15 minute walk to Down Town Disney.
