Cheap flights!

I'm looking for a cheap flight (or at least reasonable) from Brum or Heathrow to Barcelona. We're going on a DCL cruise in two months and I have yet to book my flights. The best I've seen so far was Easy Jet but I've never flown a 'no frills' airline and I'm a bit worried. Also Ryan Air is OUT of the question.
Anyone have any ideas? TIA

I've flown with Easyjet before and had no problems - just make sure you turn up in plenty of time for check in!

We've flown with Easyjet fom Newcastle to Prague, everything was fine. Like Jen said get there early, when we went you were called onto the plane in the order you checked in.

I think I'm worried about the fact there's no seat assignments. I'm travelling solo with my four young sons. I would hate to all be separated!

We fly Easyjet to Spain every year and they have always been brilliant.

We've got 2 children and if you have under 5's they should call you to board after Priority Boarding so you should be able to sit together. If you're worried you could pay the extra for Priority Boarding. We've never had a problem.

Also Easyjet planes we've been on have been 3 + 3 seats. This year will be a bit different as DS is 2 so needs his own seat so we will probably do DH + 1 on one side and me + 1 on the other side of the aisle.

Easyjet are fine! You should get to board before the main boarding is called in any event, but I am pretty sure that all children have to be sat with one adult anyway so you wouldn't be separated.

If you look at www.kayak.co.uk, it will search flights for you and you can compare the budget airlines to the likes of BA and see what the price difference is.
