Im sure that this question has been asked before but I cant seem to find it, so I will ask again. Looking for cheap/clean offsite hotel for next summer. All we will be doing is sleeping and showering there. Most of our time will be spend in parks. Will be staying 7 nights and would like something close to the parks. I dont find much about the Super 9 or Howard Johnson hotels.

Ok. Phew! Where to begin.
Do you have AAA or any other popular discounts? If you have AAA than go to their website. Also, check out the best/worst list for offsite hotels. Check out those hotels' web pages. I also tried Orbitz and travelocity.com for my hotel (Homewood Suites) and found a GREAT deal. We are going in September and I have a 7 night stay for just over $400! I am very excited about this deal. It's good that you are begining to look now. Planning ahead is a good thing that way if any deals come out, you can apply those codes to your reservation.
I like the fact that Homewood Suites has a kitchen and refrig. I need to keep my medicine cold at all times, and also like to make small meals to cut our spending. I am not a big eater, but DH definately is :earseek:
Check out these boards for any other opinions.
Good luck! :hyper:

Last summer, we stayed at a HOJO's on I-Drive. We payed less than $50 per night. We had a clean smallish room, free transport to any area parks we wanted to visit (once in the am for pick up I believe, and return after park closing). There is alos a Lynx bus stop right at the end of their driveway (cheap public transportation with a/c). All 3 of us at the breakfast buffet every morning, paying only a tip, and for the bottle of apple juice DD wanted every morning. There was a cute friendly pub across the driveway which DH and I checked out 1 night. I also did the laundry there (4$ wash/ dry I think)

We didnt bother with the pool or even look for other ammenities. As far as Im concerned, I couldnt have asked anymore, considering the price I payed.
