We are traveling down from Sacramento late on a Sunday evening for our upcoming trip. Original plan was to stop along I5 at a cheap Motel 6 like place and get up early to finish the drive.

Now I'm concerned about Monday commute traffic. We are staying at the PP for the rest of the week, but I don't want to pay that much just for one night. Are there any cheap (but CLEAN) hotels anyone can recommend just for a quick night's stay that are in the general area?

We recently (December) stayed at the Travelodge down on Harbor. I know there's a couple, but this one was maybe 10 minutes down Harbor, not the one directly next to the park. It was the International something or other. Anywho, we got it for $180 for three nights with a special, and found it very clean for the price. Had a continental breakfast, too. We'd definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the Motel 6 on Disney Way (formerly the Red Roof Inn). We paid $50 for one night and it was clean and right nearby.

We were in a similar situation, we have the carousel inn booked for 5 nights next week, I began to get a little worried about getting the kids up at 3/4 am for the drive down so I reserved the motel 6 (on disney way I believe) for saturday & I figured we'd go a day early, rest up and then check into our booked hotel the next morning before heading to DL. We stayed 3 days at the redroof inn (now that motel 6) 7/06 and it was clean & comfortable, nothing fancy, but filled it's purpose. I reserved the room for $62 on their website, for a saturday, not bad at all :)

The Staybridge is about a mile away, but it is one of my favorites and I travel a lot on business. Clean, efficient, cheap, good breakfasts, great service. In fact I am staying there the first day of my trip there in May for a conference in Anaheim.

Vagabond Inn, It's like about a mile (Or shorter) away from DL.

It's like 80 ish a night. My friends and I usually stay there when we go. It has a pool and is clean. The fridge's have always worked as have the heater's/AC.

It's always my first choice for a nice cheap hotel.
