Cheap Cell phone for dd

But there is no $20 phone and i'm not sure there's a 14.99 plan now either.

With Kajeet there is a 4.99 plan for 10 minutes and there is still a 14.99 plan for 60 mins and unlimited text. Lowest phone is $34.99. Should have checked out their website before posting.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! I'm still browsing and researching.. just trying to find the cheapest route possible that will actually give a decent amount of minutes.

Kajeet seems to be fairly expensive for what you get. The phone prices aren't too bad as long as you buy the cheapest one.. but then to have to pay $14.99 per month for 60 minutes seems a bit more than I wanted to do.

I'm looking into the AT&T, but it's very confusing to me what I'd have to do.. very naive on SIM cards, etc..

At this point, still leaning toward PlatinumTel, although Tracfone seems similarly priced too.

Crikett at $35/month is way more than what I wanted to spend, although it does offer unlimited calls/texts.

I can't add her to our plan, because we're combined with my parents and already maxed out on phones we can have.. so will have to choose a separate plan for her if I do decide to get her a phone.

Just keep in mind as someone else said the kids nowadays do not call one another so minutes are not going to really matter it is the unlimited texts you want because texting and facebook are the ways they communicate. My son only uses the minutes to call home but he prefers to text me and not call as well so most months we use no minutes on the plan.
