CHEAP casual dresses?

Hi everyone! I've lost 15 lbs and am ready to delve into the world of dresses! Has anyone seen any cheap dresses around lately? I know that there are memorial day sales coming up... but any leads would be GREAT!!

Try Ross....they always have cute cheap stuff....or even Marshall's or TJ Maxx too.

I agree with the PP, Marshall's and Ross are great. I also got some really cute casual dresses at Old Navy and Target.

You might also try skirt/top combos. When I lost weight I found I could wear skirts much longer as they aren't as sensitive to your shrinking body, and it's easier and cheaper to just keep buying smaller tops than replacing dresses.

Walmart has some really cute sundresses if you think you will continue to shrink. I like getting their things when I'm changing sizes, to minimize the outlay for something I might only wear one year...

I'm also a fan of skirts or skorts with cute tops. you can change the tops every year to something more "in" and the bottoms never really go out of style if you pick things with simple lines and moderate lengths.

I second Wal-Mart, and I will admit I am a Wal-Mart snob! I have gotten 2 knit sundresses for 14 each and I have gotten so many compliements on them. I want more, but they were sold out. Congrats on your weight loss!

Walmart had some really cute ones and of course Kohl's. We have some Sonoma ones that were really cute! I was going to try a couple on tonight! They were on sale for $24 but could even be cheaper tonight-Night owls/early bird sale!

online i like Newport News
JC Penny has a pretty good selection & if you hit the sale rack just right Ive gotten dresses for $8!!!

Have you ever thought about making your own elastic waist skirts? If you have a sewing machine, or know someone who can help you, you could get 1 1/2 yards of fabric for $4 at walmart, and sew one up. Elastic waists are great because they will go down in size with you!

I agree with TJMaxx or Marshalls. They have a lot of cute name brand dresses that are under $25. I was surprised too about WalMart's dresses for the summer. They are a light cotton in a bunch of colors with a little elastic at the waist. I bought a few to wear after my second baby comes along. They were only $14 each. Plus their sizes are a little more forgiving so you can continue to shrink away and not need to buy a new dress.
