CHEAP -Case of water- mail ordered & CHEAP

This is without a doubt, the BEST TIP EVER!!! The last time we went to WDW, we carried I don't know how many bottles of water with us. That was before they started charging for checked luggage.

When we go in August, I will definitely be doing this. We are on the dining plan and I didn't want to be using our credits for water. Now, I can save those for something the like fries that my niece wants for snacks. I would like to see if they have like packaged oatmeal or something like that for breakfast, too, that we can have shipped.

Here's a question...
How did you guys fill out the shipping address information?

I was going to put my name, Pop Century for the company name, and then 'HOLD FOR GUEST ARRIVAL 2/5' in address 1, and then the rest of the address info as normal...

Will that work? I don't have a 'confirmation number' since I booked thru AAA.

Thanks again. :)

What I am doing is this:
First Name Field: I'm putting my first and last name followed by a comma
Last Name Field: Confirmation Number (can you call AAA and see if they can give you one?)
Company Field: Resort Name
Address 1 Field: Resort Shipping Address (I'm calling the resort just to double check what I need to put as the shipping address)
Address 2 Field: I'm putting "GUEST ARRIVAL DATE: ##/##/##
City, State, ZIP Field: Whatever the resort tells me to put

I'm hoping this will work!

You should have a conf # even if you booked through AAA. Look on the original paper work they sent you (the copy of the one you had to sign and send back to them) Its on about the fifth line

I'm definitely going to bookmark this for our trip in October. I usually do a grocery stop, but this is much more convenient.

Thanks again to OP and the DIS for providing yet another phenomenal tip!:cool1:

Just ordered tonight, for our trip on Sunday! Thanks for the great tip!!!

We just got back (feb 14) and this worked out GREAT for us. It was just DH and I and we went through the whole case of water...I think 24 bottles. We figure it saved us about 75 bucks, considering a bottle of water is around $3 at the parks. We'll definitely be doing this for all our future trips.

Update: We just returned last week, and the Polynesian does not charge the $5 delivery fee that some other resorts have been charging.

We ordered 2 cases of water, and it only cam eo $15 total! What a bargain.:thumbsup2

Oh man, it was such a relief to only pay about $8 for the case delivered, instead of $3/bottle as PP mentioned.

We even had about 5 bottles left that we put in our checked luggage, lol.

I will say though that having the tracking number & who signed & when was very helpful. The front desk people at Pop said they didn't have it, so I checked with luggage, and they didn't have it... So luckily the luggage folks were able to track it down... at the front desk!

moving up for someone looking for info

What a great tip...I just ordered too and it was $7.83 for one case to be delieverd ot WL. We are Costco members.

Thanks!!

Just returned from a 10 night stay. I ordered two cases which was just right for our family of four. I was hoping the water would be waiting in our room, but I had to call bell services to have them bring it over. Caribbean Beach does not charge a delivery fee, but I tipped the bellman for carrying the water up to our second floor room.

I am going to do this!!!
We drink alot of water when we are there..this will be a nice savings.

I wonder if POFQ charges a delivery fee?

anyone have the website or name of where they got their water delivered from? I'm staying in a villa for the first time and i want to have a few late night snacks in the room and some waters and maybe a few alcoholic beverages for my boyfriend and I

We've had water delivered to POFQ from Staples 4x and and we were never charged a delivery fee. The CM at the front desk during check in always mentions our water having been delivered and being held in storage without us even having to ask, and shortly after checking into our room, they deliver the water to us - and of course we tip.

We usually just use www.staples.com for water, but I'm going to check Costco like some others on the Dis boards have mentioned as they might be cheaper.

for something like this you may want to use a site like www.gardengrocer.com

I belong to Sam's Club- does anyone know if they will deliver the water to your hotel?

I belong to Sams Club also, but in checking the price it was still cheaper to order the water from Costco and pay the .35 non-member surcharge.
