I got this through a Priceline bid. Intermediate car- Avis

I could have got a full size for $19 a day
or a premium for $22 a day.

Lowest price I could find on Avis other than this was $186 + taxes and fees.

14 is really good!!!! Nice job. How did you know what you could have "won" other than that? IE: full size 19.00 per day?
And...........when are you going?

Gail, they had a check box that said I could upgrade at those prices. I chose no as an Oldsmobile Alero is good enough for my DD and I. I imagine someone could bid at those prices and car types and have success if they're going around the same time I am. (But you never know with PL, sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to their bidding process.)

We are heading out January 25th! Coming back on Feb. 1.

I also was able to snag a non stop flight with Airtran for under $150 RT.

I'm staying with sis in a Grand Villa at OKW in exchange for a little babysitting while we're there. I'm making out like a bandit! ;)

Sue,
Yes, yes you are. Good for you!!!!! We are going on 2/1/03 and have a full size EA for 156. for the week total.
You are correct, there is no rhyme or reason to PL. :)
We did get one night at the Renaissance World Gate for 56.00 via priceline.

Our airfare with SWA is 333.00 for two rt with SWA. I think we did very well also.

I hope you have a great time!!!!

Gail, was that car through PL?

The hotel where you are staying is supposed to be gorgeous. Nice way to start your vacation. $56 is a great bid.

Looks like we'll be passing each other in the airport. ;)

(I'll try not to have all the trees chopped down while I'm there, okay? ;))

Lucky,
Nope the car was with an AARP code and a 15.00 coupon I found on the internet.

LOL, I appreciate the fact that you won't have the trees hacked up!!! :)

I have heard the Reniassance is beautiful, but, hard to find. :)
The bid was 45.00, they added those pesky taxes and PL's fee. to make it 56. (plus change).

I'll say hi as we pass in the airport. ;)
