Anyone know of a good place to stay overnight between Atlanta and Orlando, maybe 3-4 hours away from WDW? We need to spend as little $ as possible and still be comfortable with 2 adults and 2 kids. Someplace with breakfast provided would be great.
Thanks ahead of time!

When you get into Fl, get one of those magazines at the travel stops. They usually have cheap hotels. When we travel(also from Atlanta), we usually stop in Lake City or Gainesville. Most of the hotels at the Gainesville exit(old #75) have some form of breakfast. Sorry, I don't know the new exit numbers.

you can pick a city then use priceline it may help

Use biddingfortravel.com to help priceline a hotel where you would like to stay. You will get a much nicer hotel for less money than any other method.

When driving from LA, we stopped for the night in Quincy, FL at a Holiday Inn Express. I think it was around $69, was right off the Interstate, served continental breakfast and was new and clean. If you're interested, let me know and I'll try to get a phone # for you. It was only about 4 hours from WDW.

According to Mapquest, it's 7-8 hrs from Atlanta to Orlando. Therefore, a hotel 3-4 hrs away would be about halfway. If they are taking I75, halfway would be around Valdosta, GA. I would either Priceline or Hotwaire a hotel or pick up one of the Rommsaver books. Actually, Roomsaver has a website where you can print out the coupons, too. www.Roomsaver.com

Are you coming in thru Jacksonville then taking 295 to 95 in jacksonville on to orlando? Jacksonville is a great city with nice hotels. I priceline hotels there often. The Hilton in DD Jacksonville would be great for you and it goes for 40-45 regularly. I got a homestead suite last week right off 95 for 25 priceline. It was nice and clean. There are come other over on 295 that are clean as well and great low $$. Best of Luck.

We often spend the night right around the Ga/Fla state line. When we get into GA, we pick up the hotel books mentioned earlier. I believe it is exit 5 in Georgia that has a bunch of hotels.

We have stayed at the Travelodge a couple of times. I wouldn't spend a week there, but it's clean and cheap and they give you McDonalds breakfast vouchers.

There are restaurants for dinner, including a Cracker Barrel and various fast food joints, and the Racetrac at that exit has cheap gas. Be sure to fill up before you hit Florida. The Racetrac also sells cigarettes at a discount for those of you with that interest.

There is also a Comfort Inn a few exits prior to that with the best free hotel breakfast I've ever had. Wish I could remember the exit number or city name.

We tried going on to Gainesville once but some college function had every hotel full. It took some searching on down the interstate to find a bed.

I agree with Valdosta, Ga. We've Pricelined there several times and saved a good bit of money.

Good luck!
