Cheap Airfare!!!

I am still in shock!! I just purchased 4 roundtrip, direct flights from Columbus OH to Orlando FL through Southwest for a total of $448. Our kids have no idea about the trip. We are leaving Dec 2nd and returning Dec 5th. I was even able to get a room at the Pop Century for 3 nights. I hope going during Pop Warner week isn't a bad thing but this is an early Christmas present to the boys and with school it is about the only time we can go. I would never go at Christmas break again.

I saw the DING for Columbus----I had sent it to my friend but she can't go. I got a DING for PHL to MCO on Oct 30 ($45 each way). So I'm also going Dec 1-4. I don't know how you got POP though ? I have been trying MANY, MANY times a day to call (as well as online) to secure a value resort !? I was able to secure CBR at midnight on disney.com (Oct 31), after signing on and off many times and refreshing the screen. Initially no rooms showed up. Took me 45 minutes for CBR to show up and that's all I ever saw online.

When I called CRO at 7 am on Oct 31, they told me nothing else was available on property. I wanted POP. I have called every single day since then (usually morning, noon and night) and still nothing available for our dates except an executive suite at CSR. I'd love to know how you got POP ! Don't get me wrong.....I'm very happy for you, it's just I'm wondering why I keep getting told there is nothing available all week when I call ?
I wasn't even thinking about it being POP Warner week !? I was more thinking the big Mousefest gathering might be a problem. Now I'm really thinking we're in for some crowds. And to think.......the first 2 weeks of Dec used to be the quiet/low crowd times to visit.
Well......off to call disney again and try and get POP ! Wish me luck ! Have a nice trip with your boys ! I'll be there with my dd's

We just returned from a trip with $112 RT for each of us.We booked an AP rate at POP but when SW gave us that price I upgraded to POFQ.

It makes it real hard not to go we spent about the same as we would going to the beach for a fall weekend.

That is awesome!! What a deal!! How are you going to break the news to your children? I am surprising my DD(6) in December with a Mommy/Daughter trip to MVMCP and love to hear how others tell their children about the trip.

Our trip coming up Dec 15-22 is a suprise for our kids as well. They have no clue and I have been bursting with this secret since February. I think our plan is to sit them down and tell them they can open one gift because it is one of those gifts that they will get more use out of before Christmas. Inside will be the Disney name badges I ordered for them with their names on them. I am hoping it will make it click! We will definately be getting it on video for sure!

MiaSRN62 I just got lucky on getting a room at the Pop Century. I have been doing the same thing calling a few times a day and looking on the website. We actually found it on the website and booked it right away before we even had the flight. As far as Mousefest goes I think they are on the cruise from Dec. 3 until the 7th and then at the WDW from the 7th on. I don't think Pop Century was offered in the package for the Pop Warner kids so hopefully there won't be a lot of screaming teenagers at Pop Century.


MomofCKJ as far as telling the kids we had the same idea about having them open up a gift but we are waiting until Friday night Dec 1st to let them know. Both of them have exams and we know once they know about the trip they will not be able to concentrate. Not sure what we are actually going to wrap up yet though.

All I can say is I can't wait!! Oh and did I mention we are leaving the day of our youngest sons birthday. He is going to flip out being at Disney on his birthday. Hope my older son doesn't expect it on his.

This is good. I hope not because I'm still hoping to get a ressie at POP as well. I think the Pop Warner's kids stay at POR ? At least they did one year while we were there.
