I am thinking about going to Cancun for a conference early next year. I attended a conference there a few years ago and got a 'package' deal from Chicago (I live in west central Il) that was a pretty good price. Included the hotel and transfers. Hotel happened to be the same one the conference was being held at.
I am shocked at how much higher the prices are this year. I have tried travelocity and expedia without much luck. Anyone have sites that I could try?
I have to drive to chicago (much less costly than leaving from either Peoria or Moline) and it is about 4 hours away. Have to spend the night depending upon what time the flight leaves so that is a consideration too....
Thanks.

I don't know if you have funjet service out of there but sometimes a charter service like that is cheaper. We've used them to go to Cancun before and while they aren't the greatest option for us sometimes they are the cheapest.
We've also had some luck with cheaptickets.com

Good luck..hope you find something as Cancun is our favorite resort destination.

I book all of our company travel and use www.sidestep.com . There is a program to download so that it automatically pops up whenever you are on a travel website (like delta.com, hotwire.com ,etc...) and compares rates to other sites.

Good luck!

how close are you to STL? I see good airfare to cancun all the time on funjet. I think it's usually part of a package deal, but I'm pretty sure you can get just air too. I usually see it around $150.
