Morning and TGIF!!

First of all B what a nightmare. I am so sorry you are having to deal with all the BS with SS but then when it comes to dealing with any kind of government services I am NOT surprised. You have more patience then I would dealing with those people!!

And yeah it is hard about my aunt. When it first happened everyone was shocked at how "well" she seemed to be taking everything but it seemed she was really in shock and didn't even get what was happening and then when she finally had time to realize it after everyone left and things died down it hit her really hard but she has a DIL who is in the medical field who kept saying that things weren't right and we all were really saying it and she is the type person who has always been that way about stuff so she has ordered his records and an autopsy. It is really hard for everyone but it NEEDS to be done because there was obviously inconsistencies and if nothing else things need to be corrected so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Anyway we had some MAJOR excitement here yesterday. First of all personally we had a HUGE limb fall from one of our neighbors trees into our yard which was just a joy. So now we have to have someone come and cut it up but then when my dad came over to access the damage (he owns our house we rent it) he told me to turn on the news. Apparently some whack job went to one of our biggest malls and set it on fire!! It did MAJOR damage and it will be closed indef! It was all over the news and it is really sad for all the workers who will be out of a job now as well as the economy for the holidays.

Anyway I am off to work today and then we are going to attempt a movie tonight if nothing goes wrong!! Seems like everytime I try to make plans murphy comes a knocking LOL.

Anyway then tomorrow is soccer but since Katy can't play she and I may stay home this week since it is supposed to rain and she can't get her cast wet and then Sunday is DEF off now. It is supposed to storm like crazy. So prob just going to stay in and stay dry.

well right now Im sitting here drinking a cuppa coffee waiting for my princess to wake up have to take her to school and then go pick tristan up from his school...tonight is their school carnival and I really want to try and get him to take a nap because he will be a pill if i dont and Im so tired I could really go for one too Im telling you I think this is the reason why we have kids young...even though we arent emotionally or usually financially ready to take them on because Im exhausted every day when Tristan leaves...Megan I dont know how you do it girl...I mean its hard enough to come on the computer for a few minutes once I get him but Im so tired that even when he goes home i just want to sit and do nothing even coming on the computer is too much of a chore anyways he wasnt too happy when I mentioned the "possibility" of taking a nap today so we will have to see how much of a struggle he gives me well I guess I will start going through these links Bernice posted...(thanx again Bernice)

I am going to CRY!! So... Yesterday HSN had a world premier of a new sewing machine. Its called the Singer Futura Quartet.. It is just like the sewing machine I wanted, just BETTER! AND they were selling it for the same price of the machine I had planned on getting.. I finally get myself ready to spend that much money on it, and guess what?? It SOLD OUT! GAH! NO ONE else is selling this machine. and I WANT IT!! BOOO. Im so mad. Now I guess I get the other one.

I totally get feeling tired after watching the lil ones, I watch the little guy on occasion and after an hour I'm like.. okay, I'm done!
He's not a typical kid so it takes just a bit more energy to keep him on task, happy and out of mischief. Demanding little fellow!
Sis is a bit older than me, has a teen and another child with autism.. I don't how she does it everyday with driving them to appointments, therapy, classes, plus all the housework, shopping, monitor homework, researching new therapies to try and managing the mountain of paperwork and on and on and on..

so.. the supervisor actually called us back!
E explained the whole problem, supervisor sees a note in the file but nothing else and says he will call back. An hour later.. our case worker FINALLY calls and does the whole interview. Discuss the issue with SS and lack of funds.. she got it all done and squared away to process. Just 20 some days after the deadline but hey it's done now!

I wish they would give more cash than food benefits.. I really don't need the whopping amount she quoted in food. But I would love to have enough to cover rent, electric, and his med copays.. what she quoted (plus our earned income) is not enough to cover rent. Hopefully she was wrong.
Our rent is not overly high, it's typical for the area.

I can't remember how it worked out when he first applied to disability way way back. At that time we got benefits to cover rent and electric.. or maybe that was SSI?? That was 14 years ago..

How do single moms manage on so very little?

I'm confident this is temporary, it's a stop gap until SS processes the waiver and you know how slow they are

B that is awesome that you finally got somewhere with the SS!!

As for us yesterday was crazy as always. Went in to work and our CPA finally came in and went over the 3rd quarter taxes with me. I had basically done them all but I just wanted him to look them over to make sure I had done them correctly which I had. Then we had to enter 3 bank statements into quickbooks cuz it had been THAT long since he had been there! I would do that myself but the last few times we did it it didn't balance and that is the ONE area I am not comfortable with yet and wouldn't you know they ALL balanced. SOOO I am going to "attempt" to do October's when it comes in but otherwise he won't be back till the end of the years stuff. Then it REALLY gets fun. Printing all the W2's 1099's and end of year stuff for tax season and 4th quarter taxes. Whoopee. Anyway then somehow I pulled a muscle or something in my low back but I was determined to go to the movies since we didn't get to go last week cuz of Katy's hand but then after I picked up the girls Shane called and said he got delayed at work (worked out of town again) and he wouldn't be home till at least 6. So that blew that out of the water. By the time we would have eaten and tried to get into a brand new release movie it would have prob been sold out sooo we just stayed home.

Now the rain has started and since Katy can't get her cast wet and I don't feel that hot anyway her and I are going to stay home and Shane and Shelby are going to the game although if the rain picks up much more they may just call the game.

Then Shane has tickets to Nickelback tonight but I am going to just tell him to go with a friend cuz I don't feel up to it.

He wants to try and go to the movie tomorrow but it is going to have to depend on how I feel.

It is also supposed to storm like crazy. So we shall see.

Anyway that's our excitement. All the news is a buzz about our mall disaster. It is shut down indef and it is a huge hit to our local economy. So sad for all the workers esp right now.

Actually it was the county for benefits to tide us over until SS completes the waiver/ reconsideration for the overpayment (no SS benefit starting in November until January 2013).

He is on his way back stateside and will have leave in December.
Six more months on his obligation and he is a free man!
He might do some contract work to earn some money before college.
I wish he would just come back because I know the lure of $$ sometimes pulls them too far and college seems not worth it when you are making the cash.. in some dangerous third world country.

Here's hoping his contract work is short, sweet and pushes him to come back. I miss the kid.

So....this is my first official chance to breathe since we got back from DL!!! Got home last Wednesday at 10pm - worked 38 hours in those 4 days - have 42 scheduled this week (all 7 days) and the same for next week . DH is actually in the valley with the kids - he wanted to go to a bird auction - and I feel really bad, but I told him that I really didn't want to go. So I am here, catching up on laundry and playing on the computer!!! I would have had to rearrange my workshift tomorrow anyways - and I just couldn't handle another whirlwind trip, and then a 10 hour close shift tomorrow too...so it is a happy little 8 hour open shift instead (and I get a night without the kids )

Glad you got to chat with your DN - my DN is in the Army - I think he just signed up for more time. It will be great for his schooling - will end up at least a nurse if not a doctor by the time all is done - but I sure miss the kid too - so I know how you feel It was his parents and little bro that went with us this last trip - so it was nice to hear how things were going from them.

Also have last load of clothes in the washer - then all my clothes are clean (yeah, DH and the kiddos too) Well, all but what I am wearing, but it is a tad chilly otherwise

Carefully, without bending my head lower than needed, I made myself something to eat. Justin set up dialysis and got dh started.. ahhh life is good.
I think I need to stock up instant dinner type foods for these odd ball days... hunger free.. and the good of our marriage.
