It's kick back relax Sunday.
Though we might need to head to the store to buy a paper, the two vending boxes next door were not filled.

Hoping they don't plan to take them out, I tried to use one last week and it wouldn't unlock to give me a paper. I would think the delivery person thought it odd that it was still full, hopefully they didn't take it as a sign to no longer service it.
I should have bought an early Sunday/ Saturday yesterday at the store (walked home in the rain!) but it often is missing inserts. The coupon inserts are the only reason I buy the paper!
Another gray dreary day, not raining.. YET!
What happened to our summer weather?

Hopefully it's nice when we go for an overnight at the end of the month.
MIL wanted to go camping on 4th of July but there was no availability or required a three night stay (which we can't do with dh's dialysis). She agreed to a mid week stay, we reserved a site that we have never been to before and it's only 40 minutes away on a lake in the south metro. I like the idea that we don't have far to go to find a campground.
Now I need to figure out food for that night and the morning.
MIL was chattering about steak .. ummmm too much work and too pricey for my budget. Besides, I can have that anytime (with a sale).
How often can I have a hot dog roasted over an open fire? Or use our pie irons to make a tasty treat? And roast marshmallows?
I'm not even sure the site has a BBQ grate or if it's just a plain fire ring.
One more thing to pack just to have steak, you can just go to a local park for BBQs.
I'm thinking of..
Hot dogs
smores or just marshmallows
nibbly food - cheetos are a rare treat
peppers, broccoli, cauliflower and dip
Some fruit
for the pie iron: pizza (pillsbury pizza crust in a can, some pepperoni, sauce and cheese), or quesadillas (slap a tortilla in the pie iron, put on toppings, wrap it up and close the iron) and something sweet.
Any ideas?
