Chatterbox Thread-Cmon in and Jabber! Everyone is Welcome!

Yes, we are getting old...back in the day, we were just getting started chatting at 9:30pm.

I emailed Alex the other day. She's doing well, said she had been busy canning. She's thinking of going back to work soon. She wanted to join us, but had the boys that wekeend. So I'm thinking maybe the next time I head up that way we should get ahold of her beforehand and make plans for a weekend when her XDH has the boys.

Morning and happy Saturday!

Well yesterday I FINALLY got my mop cut although I was ticked because the gal that I always get my haircut with was busy and I had to get it cut by yet ANOTHER new person I have never seen before. I go to the same supercuts that we have been going to for years and I have a few gals that I always go to but I don't usually know when I am going to get around to going so I don't think to make an apt and sure enough she was there but I couldn't get her. Then when I get a new person they ALWAYS screw it up!

She gave me bangs which I NEVER have and then had it all flat and plastered to my head which I also NEVER do. I told her specifically that I wanted some lift to it so when she was done I made her fix it! It is STILL not right but better than what it first was. Then I went in to work and it was OK not great but there is some stuff going on with the banks that could make things REALLY ugly for our business so I'm hoping that it is only temporary! Anyway then afterwards we all went to eat and then to the recital. Shelby was FIRST on the list so she was pretty nervous and she did make one small flub and then Shane wasn't paying attention and didn't start the video right away and considering her song is REALLY short he missed MOST of it but she did pretty good considering. Most of the kids did OK but there were a few that were amazing and the teacher played malaguena and it was beutiful!! Also one of his older students played variations on cannon by pachabel. GORGEOUS!

It was a nice evening.

He is doing his same old stuff though. Just like in Dec he told me that we could be just "roommates" but then immediately wants to be all over me and act like nothing was wrong and he smothers me and I am just NOT in that frame of mind. So this morning I told him that I am not in that place right now and that if we are going to make this work he needs to back off and give me space. Of course then we got into it AGAIN and it is just not good. He says he gets it but he just doesn't listen to my side of it. This is what I was afraid of and this is our biggest problem. Total breakdown and lack of communication. I personally don't see how even THIS can work. It NEEDS to for everyone's sake but he just doesn't get it! UGH! It's so frustrating and I am SO disgusted with the whole situation. I told my mom maybe we DO need to get some counciling just to figure out how to even just LIVE together. Personally on my front I don't see us EVER being an actual couple again and I know that he wants that but I think to even be able to be in the same ROOM together we need to find a way to exist! So we shall see. I know something is going to have to change or we are going to implode.

I really wanted to go to Apple Hill but the way he was acting kind of killed it for me. Of course then he does his typical thing saying yes we are going and blah blah blah and I was like yeah like I want to go when you are acting the way you are. So I don't know what is going to happen.

I guess we shall see.

Anyway looks like you guys had fun chatting last night. Unfortunately most night times I am usually relaxing watching a video or something. I will have to get in on one of those sessions sometime. Looks like fun! :)

I am not going on the diva trip this year either and I am going to miss it. I went the last two! But I am hoping to go in 12 again so maybe some of you can make it then! I would love to meet you guys!!

Well have a GREAT day guys and talk later!

Wow after all that on Friday night and then nothing yesterday! Must of wore yourselves out LOL. Well we had a pretty good day after all yesterday.

The girls played one of the hardest teams yet so far this season and we were sure they were going to get beat but they won!! Katy got kicked in the stomach (she plays goalie) so that was a bit rough but she overcame and they did great! Then we came home and they got cleaned up and we ended up going up to apple hill. We had a great time and the weather was nice. The place we go caters a lot to smaller kids and I don't know how much longer the girls will want to go but it is nice just to make the drive. It is so beautiful up there. Instead of the hay maze they opted to ride the horses this year and then they have a thing where you can make your own candle which they did last year and so we did that again and then of course we got some caramel apples which we always do.

And of course got the obligatory shots with the pumpkins.

So we had a good day!

We then came home and just relaxed and enjoyed the rest of our day.

Today we are trying a new church with our friends and then have some grocery shopping to do and possibly going to the costume store.

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend!!

Good Morning All!

Kelly - hang in there girl. You have lot so difficult decisions to make and I'm sure you'll do what's right for you and your family.

For what it's worth, I don't think it would hurt to see a marriage counselor or take a couples communication class. DH and I had some problems early in our marriage and it really helped us (well, obviously it did, we just celebrated our 21st anniversary!).

It's a rainy, yucky weekend here. DD & I went yesterday morning to the Fred Meyer Red Tag store over in Portland. I got a new comforter set for my bed, some nice dress pants for work, a few xmas presents (yes I actually said the X word already!:scared1:), school clothes for DS, etc. It's a great store. Has stuff from their regular stores that didn't sell on the clearance racks. They take the clearance price and you get another 60% off, but they run periodic sales and all clothes, purses, & shoes were another 70% off this weekend.

SHUT UP!!! Are you guys hanging out together, or was it just a coincidence?? Shawna is there right now too! DANG!!

You guys will never guess who I'm sitting next to on the monorail....

Dizzy! :). I was at the park yesterday and did not know that you, Shawna and Dizzy would be there :(. I haven't been on the DIS for a while since I have been busy. Hope you guys have fun

Okay.. So we have a general idea of when we are going to DL.. Plus which hotel we are staying in. It looks like we have narrowed it down to the Residence Inn... Just because that the only place we CAN stay with all the kids. :lmao: We are even looking at flying. It would be about the same.. price-wise.. If I can get a good deal. Plus less stressful. Right now the idea of riding in a car for 4 days or so with a teenager makes me want to stab myself in the eyeball. Plus we will have more time there. :cool1: I just have this fear.. I dont want ANYTHING to ruin this trip. ie... cranky-butt teenage girl..:rolleyes1 She seemed excited.. but you just never know. you know?

The best way to have a halfway enjoyable vacation with a teenage girl is to let them take a friend along. :thumbsup2 It's a small price to pay for sanity.:rotfl2:

Sometimes I used to think I should let DD & her BFF take a separate flight, stay at a different hotel, make separate dinner reservations and just send a daily text message to make sure they were still alive.:rotfl2:

How cool is it that you ran into Dizzy!:thumbsup2 I'm jealous...I need a Disney fix!

If we had the room for it, I SO would have her bring a buddy.. But we are pushing it with 7 of us. The one good thing we have going for us.. She understands money, the lack of it.. and how if something costs a lot to be grateful.. She grew up with no money, so vacations were not something they did. EVER. She knows this will cost us a crapton, and she is kinda freaking out about it. She keeps saying she will try to pay us for it.. COME ON! Family vaca!! We dont make our kids pay their own way, how are we going to make her??:lmao:

Yeah, I figured you had a full load. I'm sure you'll have fun anyways. But if she does get "the attitude", just ignore her. Sometimes you just have to ignore them and not let them pull your into their little hormonal battle. Otherwise they end up making your vacation miserable, which is what I think they have planned.:sad2:

Did you see the photo I just posted on FB? DD went to visit the grandparents this weekend and when they drove thru Raymond they had decorated all of their metal sculptures throughout town in pink for breast cancer awareness month. She said the metal elk had pink bows on as they pulled into town and then the metal people were all dressed in pink. They took pic's on the way home.:thumbsup2

I know.. I told my husband if she ruins DL for me, as soon as we get home I am sending her butt straight home. I also told him I have no problem her going out on her own to the park, or staying at the hotel by herself... If she wants to spend her time lounging by the pool all day, I am SOOO down with that!!:cool1:

I saw that! Its awesome!

UGGHH!!! Watching House Hunters and it's this idiot couple that are first time parents. All they do is comment how their baby "Jackson" might slam his fingers in those drawers, not sure how it will work with Jackson, Jackson's toys might not fit in her, there's no bathtub for Jackson, there's no door on this room for Jackson, the fireplace might be dangerous for Jackson, there's no extra play area for Jackson, the park next door will be nice for Jackson, the backyard is a little tight for Jackson...WTH? Is Jackson paying for this house????:rotfl2:
