DH is a pretty manly guy, but he bows down to these guys. MAN, Jonathan got whacked IN THE FACE with this big heavy hook they use to pull up the crab pots. He flew back, but I don't think he even dropped to the ground, did he, Sam? GEESH! And he was laughing and bragging about it as he bled all over the deck. I think he finally went in to get a look at it, and slapped some sort of bandage on it. Criminy Christmas!!!
And yes, I'm dying to know what's up with Phil. The last I saw, they were telling him he needed to go to a bigger hospital, and that his ribs were fine. She saw white on the xray on the lungs, which I think is how cancer shows up. So I'm afraid.
He got a blood clot in his leg, when he was hurting was when the blood clot was passing through his heart, when he was having problems breathing it was because the blood clot settled in his lung. He is absolutely lucky to be alive. They sent him to the hospital in Anchorage and he is now in ICU. It was not cancer, but a blood clot is serious stuff. He said that his mother died from a blood clot.
I never did understand if the blood clot was caused from when he was slammed during the storm or if it was something that happened otherwise. But then again it was midnight when I was trying to stay awake and watch it, so I might have missed exactly what caused it.
It was such a relief to know it wasn't cancer, but still it's not real good. However, he was up and walking around and talking. Even snuck outside to have a cigarette.
Just make sure you don't let DH read this, he's liable to start showering in the stuff!
