Oh, in March? Isn't that right in the middle of spring break time???

No.. Its the first weekend in March. Spring Break tends to be around Easter sometime... Easter is a lot later next year, then it was this year. So the break was earlier.

I thought the DL spring break rush is like mid-Feb to late April, like the 3rd week. Schools around the country have different spring breaks, though I think in WA they are usually near Easter.

We went in early Feb, and then late April for that reason.

I think the ladies trip was going to be in May but then they decided on March instead but I'm not sure. :confused3

Most everyone wanted t go earlier in the year, so it wasnt so hot. I voted Feb. As long as it isnt in the 90s, Im good. Without the kids... crowds dont bother me all that much. :lmao:

Good grief, Staley, are you still here? :rotfl:

Just woke from my little snoozer, now I can go to bed. Good night. ;)

HI PIX!!

It took me forever to catch up from the beginning of this thread. For some reason, I didn't see your new thread link at first, so I lost you guys. Yesterday I went looking for it on the community thread, and couldn't find iT either. I was probably looking too hard. Andyways, went back again to the old thread and noticed your link...................YAY!!!! I found you!!:cool1:

Anyways.................................

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!

:woohoo:  :dance3: :yay: :cheer2: party: :jumping1: :dancer: :bday: :cake:

Yes, I plan on going to the Ladies Trip.

I've been missing in action due to company and having a big BBQ again. Dave has his Texas brisket down to a tee. It was soooooooooooo good and tender. We also made a huge batch of homemade ice-cream with fresh blackberries and strawberries for the topings. Yummo!!

Megan, did you buy your bathing suit yet?? You should go try on some of the good ones that do the tummy tuck stuff. They actually work pretty good. And get classic black. Sexy, and most people look good in that color. ::yes::

Shawna, I missed something about you aren't happy about?:sad2:

Dizzy, how is your DH doing lately?

Gina................you have me very curious about your DH? Did you ever answer my question about your DH's job, and I missed it?

Alex, I hope your DS is doing better this morning.:flower3:

Alison, How do you exercise without sweating? I like your "quote for the day" today, by the way. (Now that was a tongue twister.)

Bernice, I've already given you my message.
:rotfl:

Sarah, Hey! How are ya?:flower3:

Spongie, Where have you been?????:confused3

Hi Christina!!! :goodvibes

Good morning, hyenas!
It's raining like cats and dogs here! We had a thunderstorm last night (or several?) This morning it's still raining, and verrrrry muggy. Yuck! BUT... perfect to wet everything down before yahoos start trying to light the neighborhood on fire, ya know? We have some real doofuses, but thank goodness most people are responsible, and clean up after themselves.

Last night I pulled an Alex with you Alex! :lmao: I fell asleep and then woke up and went to bed. :rotfl:
I wonder if that's what happened to Staley, too! Your light was out by the time I woke, but hers was still on. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And Melody! How on earth do you remember who all has been chatting lately? THat was awesome!!! :rotfl:

Oh, and I don't know how DS4 is doing yet, he's still sleeping away... laying sideways in my bed, with his head near the edge... How do they do that??? :confused3

GOOD MORNING HYENA'S!!!

DS had tball last night, and I must say that I am VERY disappointed with the route the coach chose. Anyone who has ever seen 4yo tball realizes it is more of a tackle thing, with 1/2 the team sprinting towards the ball. Well, our coach decides to stop this, by making the kids stand in a single file line, and the kid in front runs for the ball :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:. I couldn't believe it - and DH was appalled!!! Not only did it seem quite dumb, but it teaches the kids that no matter where the ball is it is YOUR responsibility to run towards it. So, next time they play "tackle" tball it will get worse :headache:
not much, waiting on DH to finish eating so we can head to bed....he has just decided to talk to me...wow....lets say he has given me the silent treatment all day
OMG, I'm SO HAPPY!!!!! :yay:

The package has been delivered! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

The grape flavoring in the horrid medication made all the difference in the world, DH couldn't even taste the bitterness. We had to wait to give it after he'd eaten, so right after dinner we gave him the Benadryl first, then the gigantic syringe (2 tsp) of grape-flavored steroid. DH told him to suck it right down, and just kept pushing the syringe. I told DS, "Swallow! Swallow fast!" and my baby did.

When he finished it all and took a swig of milk we all cheered! I was nearly in tears!!! I have been very stressed out about whatever the heck this is, and how we were going to get rid of it. I'm hoping we'll see big improvements tomorrow morning. Crossing my fingers...

The downside of giving it to DS at dinnertime is that it may cause nausea or hyperactivity. Good lord, I wonder how long that would last? Could be a long night. But DH wanted to wait until morning and I said no, I wanted to get it started, so it's my fault if I'm up all night with him.

WTH???
:yay: :yay: :yay: I hope it works!!!
I don't remember if it was about the drug, or ... OH! I wonder if it was about oatmeal baths.

A friend of mine said she gives her girls an oatmeal bath. She makes a little pouch of oatmeal out of old pantyhose material and lets it soak in the bath. She said it's the milky stuff from the oatmeal that is soothing to the skin. Her girls grab the pouch and just squeeze the water out of it onto their skin.

I doubt I even have a pair of pantyhose anymore, and couldn't think of what else to use for that purpose, or where even to BUY a pouch type thing. :confused3

Actually, I don't think that was exactly my question, because it's not really nurse-ish. :lmao:
At the risk of sounding like a sales person, try the Aveeno Oatmeal bath. Very effective, but does make a mess of the tub.
Yeah, she also mentioned cheesecloth, and ... to be quite honest, I don't even know where to BUY cheesecloth! :rotfl2:

Oh yeah, the doc suggested Aveeno oatmeal bath! I should look for that!
See, it is not just me this time!!!
I worked 2 1/2 hrs overtime today. I was trying to finish up things since I'm off tomorrow. I'm going to DL to renew my AP and I will try to get on the new Toy Story ride. :crowded:
OT on your bday :faint: At least it is all worth it - have fun at DL :yay: :yay:
Aww...I wish you all could come. I always have the best time when I'm at the park with the hyenas. :yay: :woohoo:

SHAWNA - WHERE YOU AT??? HECK, WHERE IS ANYONE???

SHAWNA - IT IS RAINING AGAIN!!! Probably the 5th day in a row!!! Have you seen it yet??? I will tell it to come visit (give me a bit of time with it though first)

Its raining good!!! :yay: I brought the dog under the patio and am pretty well soaked!!!

Dizzy! :yay:

You got rain? We got thunderstorms! YIKES!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

There was a big BOOM!!! around 10:30 this morning while we were getting ready to go to the YMCA. I had just put a shirt over DS4's head, and he suddenly leapt into my lap and hid his head as far into my armpit as possible. :lmao:

DS7 had been upstairs, and suddenly he appeared in the doorway looking just like this:

I laughed and said, "That was really loud, wasn't it? It scared me, too!" At first he laughed with me, then all of a sudden he wailed and jumped into my lap. He cried and cried and cried! OH MY!!! It was pretty scary. :rotfl:

ALEX!!!
I haven't heard thunder with our storm, not sure if I just missed it, as it is pretty typical with our monsoons. I much prefer though to see the rain before I see the lightning, living in a wooded area I am kind of freaked out about fires :sad2:
