So is anyone going to see Mamma Mia? I heard the movie isn't rated well by the critics, but that it's fun, and the soundtrack is great! :yay:

I still want to see it, but probably won't get the chance. Will have to wait for the DVD. But DH said he'd download the tunes to my ipod! :thumbsup2

I SO want to see that movie! It looks lovely!

GEESH, I am watching the CREEPIEST CSI:NY episode! I gather it was played on Halloween... :scared1:

I'm hear trying to coax ds back into bed.

So I'm feeling pretty good! In three days I've booked 2 vacations. :lmao:

We're going to Ocean Shores mid-August, and in December we're going to DL. WOOHOO!!! :woohoo:

I hope the weather is hot when we go to Ocean Shores. I went to Ocean Shores once when it was nice in Seattle, and it was in the 50s I think at OS. We froze our butts off!!! :rotfl2:

Me, too. I could so do that! :thumbsup2

Alas, if we were independently wealthy, I'm fairly sure DH would still be a workaholic. :confused3

We had an exchange this evening (not so much an argument since I expected this and am resigned to it) about him going back to work tomorrow. He's still supposed to keep his leg elevated and be on narcotics (and not driving while taking narcotics.) He said, "Honey, you know I'm a workaholic. It's in my DNA!" :rotfl:

Isn't he a she?

And 120 lbs.? That's a whole lotta poop. And gas! :faint:

Ugh... Sometimes... Im glad dh is lazy. Yes, he is, and freely admits it. I would be going buck wild on his butt for that.

:lmao: I figured you would catch that! :lmao:

So on to other needs of the bowels, errr urinary tract this time.

I HAVE A KIDNEY STONE! The ******* is moving again. It moved 2 days ago pretty intensly and stopped. I was not bothered yesterday. Tonight it hit me hard. OUCH:scared1:

History here. I've had a bit of a relationship with kidney stones before. I've had lithotripsy 3 times to "bust up" the stones in my kidney and one that was stuck for a week. I've passed about 10 of them on my own in my life. Yes I have a problem absorbing calcium. I've got that all checked out and know what i am supposed to avoid but sometimes this just happens.

At first I used to go screaming to the ER. Now besides pain meds and an occasional IVP there isnt much they can do for you except drown you with IV fluids to flush it out. Water will do the same thing. The IVP shows where the stone is. So does an XRAY sometimes. IVP's always helped flush them out too. Every now and then they need to bring in what I call STAR WARS (lithotripsy surgery). They use a laser to blow the stone to pieces much like the Death Star was blown up. :thumbsup2

Now I just suffer through it and drink tons of water. If it gets bad enough where I think its stuck I'll have to go in but for now its a real pain in my SIDE!

 Oh no!! You poor thing. Im so sorry.

Just in case you're interested:

I read an article today about border crossings, and how Bush/courts have eroded our right to privacy. The article specifically is about how Arab-Americans/Muslims are having their personal electronic devices seized and searched, and data downloaded. Not only is this an invasion of privacy, but puts any other confidential information (attorney files, corporate documents, etc.) at risk.

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2008067440_searches23m0.html

And the government allows this "without cause", meaning they don't have to have a reason to suspect the person of any wrongdoing. Here are a couple of statements that stood out to me:

"The heightened scrutiny is prompting concern and raising questions among a diverse array of groups, from Muslim associations to law firms, corporate groups and technology organizations.

"Among their questions: What if a traveler's laptop includes corporate secrets, a lawyer's confidential documents, a journalist's notes from a protected source, or personal financial and medical information?"

"This has the potential for a chilling effect," said Ken Myer, president and CEO of the Washington Technology Industry Association, which represents about 1,000 companies in this state. "If you look at a laptop that is carrying trademarks, confidential information, ... what kind of liability does that present to the company?"

"Jameel Hyder, a manager at a technology company who lives in Sammamish, says he also has been stopped each of the five times he returned to the U.S. from various trips over the past two years.

On his return from a business trip last November, customs agents asked him to boot up his laptop so they could look through his photos and asked him questions about which mosque he attended and activities he's involved in.

"The one thing that's pretty obvious is it's not a random search," Hyder said.

No kidding! We've been stopped almost every time as well.

"Michael Milne, a spokesman for Customs and Border Protection in Seattle, said he knows of no such form and that asking travelers their views on foreign policy is "certainly not something we would do on a routine basis."

Nor do agents focus on travelers because of their religion or ethnicity, he said."

Riiiiiiiiight. There is no religious/ethnic profiling going on here.

Yikes!!! That sounds very painful!

I always figured kidney stones were... well, like tiny rocks. But I saw William Shatner talking about kidney stones on Oprah the other day, and they sound more like spurs, I swear! :scared1:

And he had one removed, and made his doc give it to him. Then he went out to a website and SOLD IT, made something like 95K on the deal, and (along with some donations from co-workers) he bought a house for Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans! So a family is living in a brand new home in New Orleans all thanks to his kidney stone! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

They are rocks but they are sharp and pointy like spurs sometimes too. They are NOT smooth and what hurts is it cutting the lining of your ufinary tract as it makes its way out. That is why most people, well, all people have blood in their urine whether they can see it or not. :scared1:

To bad you cant do that Shawna... Sell your stone and say that its William Shatners. ;) :lmao: :lmao:

OMG!!! That is the coolest thing EVER!
Then he was going in for hip surgery. And he thought, "I wonder how much I could get for my hip bone?" :lmao:

But he decided that it was in too poor taste. He said, "And you know that if I think it's in poor taste, it must be pretty bad!" :rotfl2:

On a happier note, I am considering purchasing these baskets for the kids. I believe they can be in your room when you check in so it really looks like its from Mickey and Minnie.

imageload
and
imageload

This one I would love to get for DH except fill it with Bud Light instead of beers from around the world:lmao:

imageload

Only one problem with this is that upon closer inspection I believe Morgan already has that Minnie doll. Hmm OK, I just checked, its not exactly the dress but the same concept and hat. HMMM
