I've never really taken food porn pics!! We are certainally eating at alot of places... so by the end of the week hopefully I'll have the hang of it

This is awesome! I like the fact that you got people in it as well as the castle and fireworks. You can see that everyone is mesmerized by the fireworks and can sense what it is like to be standing in that crowd, as well.

I forgot how fabulous your pictures are. I was considering buying a new camera and decided to save the $. Now I want one again. I need to get some good night time pics and my camera just can't handle it.

So my DH will not dress up for the party, but I stopped at the dollar store yesterday and decided to buy things to make my own "outfit". I wouldn't really call it a costume, rather it is an ensemble. Let's just say it is very DIS themed with lots of lime green. My DH liked it enough that I may make him an "outfit", too.

Chapter 17: We are Single Digit Dancing!!!!

We are single digit dancing, oh yes we are! And while I might be really dancing here in my chair, let’s all take a moment and be thankful that only the dog I’m dog-sitting can be witness to that LOL!!! That’s right in 9 glorious days I will be entering the Promised Land, our oasis of dreams come true, the happiest place on Earth, Walt Disney World! There are not enough words to really express my excitement, but we all know me and how wordy I can be so I’ll try to elaborate for you!!! I’M OVER THE MOON ESTATIC ABOUT THIS UPCOMING TRIP!! Okay well that will have to do for now!!

So how am I doing on that to-do list…well to be honest…hmmmm…well let’s take a look shall we…

• Go to Bank, get quarters (for the toll booths) DONE
• Wal-Mart (I live at this store LOL) DONE, DONE, and WILL BE DONE AGAIN TOMORROW MORNING
• Stop by costume shop (need to pick up one final item) DONE
• Bath and Body Works (I have been inspired by Jen!!) DONE
• Decorate gift bags (DONE)
• Make my “I’m the Quiet Friend” t-shirt (yes a lovely DISigner made me a design YAY)
• Finish Itinerary Note cards (I’m not carrying my huge binder around so I have note cards that fit very nicely in my front pocket of my backpack).
• Get a manicure DONE
• Scotch guard my park bags.

Alright so since Saturday I have gotten 2 things crossed off my list! I did choose my scent for this trip and I will be Sweet Pea…hmmm one of my favorites! I found the perfect little travel sizes and I got a big bottle of the spray for free with a coupon (don’t you love getting things for free). I also have decorated gift bags and will be waiting until I arrive in Orlando to fill them up, which means I need to go buy some more tissue paper LOL!!! I have made progress on the note cards, I am on day 6 of 9 so I should be done by this weekend. Obviously I have amended my to-do list and this is what the new list looks like for this weekend.

• Scotch guard my park bags!
• Make my t-shirt
• Begin packing
• Check binder and make sure all paperwork is in order
• Get a pedicure
• Play around with the settings on my camera
• FINALLY FINISH MY TR (YES I AM GOING TO DO THIS!!! MUST GET THIS DONE!!)

So once again wish me luck!! I’m hoping to accomplish all of this on top of cleaning the house and getting Prince P ready to leave Sunday morning for his weeklong class up in North Carolina! Yes that does mean we won’t be seeing each other until I return from my trip because his return flight is around 9:00ish Saturday the 26th and I will be happily exploring DHS that morning LOL!! Speaking of his trip, I have some great news on the rental car front. I was checking some sites and I found an amazing deal on the Alamo site at the airport pick up location. Using my Entertainment Book free upgrade coupon I am now getting a larger car for $30.00 less than my original rental. The best part of all of this is I no longer need to find a ride to the rental car place from the airport where I have to leave my car (we only have 1) so Prince P can drive home on Saturday!! YAY for good fortune!!!! Also Alamo is known for having XM radio in their cars…can anyone say Broadway channel!! Nothing but Broadway for 8 hours…YES!! WOOT!!

Paula also has a busy weekend, her oldest daughter Ellie will be celebrating her birthday!! This means a slumber party with tween girls invading Paula’s domain this weekend!!! Good luck to her this weekend LOL!! It does sound like it’s going to be an amazing party; I wish I could go LOL!!! I did tell Paula though if she needed a sanity break to call me and we could talk!!! However, I think Paula mentioned that she would be heading to hide in her craft room, which means some serious scrapbooking will be happening!! In other Paula news, she went and got a new hairdo! I can’t wait to see it, but knowing what I know about the style I know she looks amazing!!

So I only have one more Must-do list to share with you before we discuss packing lists and yes if you guess Food and Wine you would be right! Now I must admit while I have Disney ODC I have really failed in this department! I have no idea really what to expect of Food and Wine!! I know there are a lot of different items I would like to try from the stations…but I know there is more to Food and Wine than that! I’m looking forward to exploring and learning more!!! Paula and I looked through the booths and we both have agreed that we are going to share a lot of these items!! We also have very similar tastes in that neither one of us is big seafood fans at all, so that will make it easy for us!! So what booths do we want to try?

• The Mouse Selection: selection of cheeses

Hmmm…just looking at this list makes me hungry!!!! I can’t wait to try a lot of these!!!!

Let’s Talk Hidden Mickey Countdown!!! I’m going to be honest with you guys I’m a little tired tonight so I’m only going to do the Movie countdown so I will hope you will forgive me! Paula mentioned the other day that the perfect Hidden Mickey Movie for our Food and Wine Festival post would be Ratatouille and I have to agree!!!

This Hidden Mickey can be found at the very end of the movie! It is the scene in the new restaurant when they ask Ego if he would like dessert and he turns to Remy and says “Surprise Me.” Well if you take a look at the pans behind Remy in this scene you will see that familiar shape we have all come to know and love!! Happy Hunting!!!!

Well there you have it, our Must-do lists are done!! Now we move on to packing lists (scary thoughts), more to-do lists, and you know what we just might have time to discuss some birthday gifts!! Thanks I was so excited about the rental car and even more excited about the pick up location being the airport...that will save me about 30 minutes of time...and the sooner I can get on the road the better! That's funny, we had a car with satellite radio for our drive to Disney and when it was on, it was either playing Broadway or Radio Disney (with just a sprinkling of the 80's channel.) Gotta love Broadway!
