Chat history on Facebook

Is there a way to see your chat history in Facebook?

I believe that once you close the window and log off, it's gone. Facebook chat is not terribly sophisticated.

Both of my kids have a program that takes their chats (well the ones they want to keep) and puts it into a file to save. But I have asked them if "facebook" saves them and they both said no.
