Chasing a Dream: September Trip Report Update 12/11 FINAL THOUGHTS/TRIP FAVORITES

Found your PTR on Dawn's TR! I'm glad that addicts like us have the DIS boards so we can feed our addictions. My sister laughs at me when I talk about Disney. I tell her that there are hundreds of us from all over the country that feel the same way I do. I just wish I had a friend like you that enjoys it enough and can go with me.

:welcome: Thanks for joining! I know, other people (including DH) think I'm crazy!!! Lately I eat, sleep & breathe the dis boards!! :) Definitely an addiction!!!

Day 2 Itinerary:

We will be starting our day with an 8:10am ressie at Donald's Breakfast in AK. I plan to ask for the check up front, so hopefully we will get finished in time for rope drop. After rope drop we'll head to KS first thing, then send DH over for FP's at EE while I take the kids to Camp Minnie Mickey to meet the characters (last trip we missed this and this will probably be the first chance Rachel will get to see Minnie!) Then we'll ride Triceratop Spin, Dinosaur & Primevel Whirl (both of which we missed last trip!). Also want to see the Nemo show, missed that last time too. We did see FOTLK last time so if we don't get to see it this time it won't be a big deal (although it was great, and definitely worth seeing again!) I'm hoping my son will ride EE, he was too scared last year but I'm trying to bribe him into it this year! Bad mom, I know! (Only pushing because I know he will LOVE it if he tries it!!) Rachel was a little scared of It's Tough to be a Bug last time but I'm hoping she will do okay this time since she knows what to expect - because the rest of us all loved it! I plan to do a late lunch, right before we leave the park because our dinner this night is late - 8:40pm  This year I want to try Pizzafari, we tried Flame Tree BBQ last year, DH loved it, wants to go there again so we may be splitting up for lunch! I liked it okay, but there is no way the kids will eat BBQ! Last year I had to go and get McDonald's food from Restaurantosaurus for them, and DH ordered me a pulled pork sandwich. By the time I walked back from getting the kids food and up to where we were sitting, I did not feel like going back down for the BBQ sauce that DH forgot!! That would have made my sandwich 10x better but oh well.... So anyway, I really want to try the breadsticks at Pizzafari, I hear they are delicious and can be bought with a snack credit! And then before we head out of AK for the day, we will head to Kali. We are saving this for last because last time Rachel and I got soaked!!!!!! I'm hoping to get out of AK by 2:30 or 3:00 (maybe earlier) to go back to the room for rest or the pool because we will be doing Epcot late hours!!!

I hope to head to Epcot around 6:00pm and get in a few rides before our dinner at Le Cellier. Definitely MUST DO Test Track!! Can you believe we missed this ride last year?? Hope to also get in a ride on Soarin - I am sooo happy to report that Rachel meets the 40" mark this year!!! :yay: Since our dinner is at 8:40pm I'm pretty sure there is no way to see Illuminations so we'll just head back over to FW and ride some more before we leave for the night. Hunter's favorite ride in all of Disney is Mission Space (the more intense ride) so we'll definitely have to hit this (probably more than once this night!) Last year you could get right back on so hopefully it will be that way again. The reason we didn't make TT last year is the waits were sooo long and they were out of FP's for the day, so I'm really hoping the waits won't be horrible this trip!!

Next installment Day 3: Our MK day!! :thumbsup2

Hi Tammy! Just noticed your PTR link on the PM you sent me a few minutes ago...great start! I wish I had the ambition to start one :lmao: Can't wait until Sept! We check out of Pop on the 9th so we will just miss you,:sad2:

Thanks! Glad you are joining in. I hate we will have just missed you! I can't believe I'm actually going thru with the PTR/TR myself! But I take soo many pictures and since I haven't been doing scrapbooking (after spending a TON of $$ on Disney stuff!!), I figured this is the next best thing!! :)

I'm pretty sure I read that Primevil Whirl will be temporarily closed for refurb. during your visit. Although I'm not sure we're missing much as on Dis Unplugged they call it Primevil Hurl.

Thanks for the tip! I just checked Disneyworld.com and you are right. Yeah I'm not too upset over that one. Last year when we went RnRC was closed - that was upsetting!

I am so excited I just found out that Sorcerer Mickey is now at DHS for meet and greets! Can't wait to see him!!! :) Also read something about Buzz and Woody being at a new location - Pixar Place. Does anyone know anything about it?

Defiantly not missing anything...I rode it last year and I felt like I was beat to death! The only ride in WDW that I have told the kids "I will not ride that again...sorry!" :lmao: I think i was sore the next 2 days afterward.

Thanks for joining! Send me a link if you start a TR from your recent trip! :)

HI Tammy,

Just got caught up ... Your kids are too cute, and so fun to be able to go with your friends!

Things look great, just be prepared that the wait time for Soarin' and TT coming in at 6 will probably be long and there might not be any FP left... MS shouldn't be a problem though. Just make sure to go check that Tip board ASAP and check for FP times etc.. But since it is an extra hour night maybe you will get lucky at that time and there still will be some left... fingers crossed for you :)
Ohana's was fun and yummy...

Thanks! I know, it is exciting to go with Dawn & Ray, they are so much fun, will just make Disney that much better!

Yes, last year we did a late night at Epcot and didn't get on Soarin or TT that night, they were out of FP's. I hope maybe we'll get lucky this year... But I do have a day planned there too, so we will have a 2nd chance at least! :)

EXACTLY 7 WEEKS FROM TODAY WE LEAVE FOR OUR VACATION!!!!!

Day 3: Magic Kingdom Day!!!

We start out our day with an Ohana’s breakfast at 8:10am. I really wanted to be finished and be at park by opening, but I don’t see this happening. I had hoped to have at least a slim chance in being picked as family to open MK! :rotfl: I hope we’ll make it by 9:15 or so, and ride those rides hoping to meet up with the Dream Team! Here’s some main rides we missed last year that are on top of my list for this year: Dumbo, Peter Pan’s Flight, BTMR, POTC….. All of these rides had unreal waits last time. I also want to make rope drop at Toontown to maybe get a chance at riding with Goofy! Again, I know, wishful thinking!!!

I’m trying to decide if we should leave the park at noon to go back to the room to rest for a while and then try to make it back by 3:00 for the afternoon parade (yet another thing we missed last year!)…. So I don’t know if we should bother going back to the room for that short period of time? :confused3 Rachel has her BBB appointment at 4:30 that day. After the appointment I want to take her to Expo Hall for the pics, and maybe to Toontown Hall of Fame to have her picture made with the princesses while she is all dressed up. Then we will head to GF for 1900 Park Fare dinner at 7:15. Any suggestions on what we should do after the 1900 Park Fare dinner? I guess we will be separated from the boys for the afternoon, so they may head back to Pop to swim/rest until dinner. Dawn & Ray have reservations at LTT at 6:30 so we will be going separate ways this night.

Rachel is so excited about the BBB appointment. Her Cinderella dress from last year had to be replaced, she plays dress up a LOT so her old dress is a little ragged, so since we are doing the BBB and the 1900 Park Fare, I bought her a new dress (off ebay). Here is a pic of it:

And, a nice co-worker picked me up some Mickey Heads from Home Depot for me to make our countdown calendar! I am only going to make it 30 days out, but I’ll post pics once we get it made.

Also yesterday I ordered some matching shirts for all 7 of us and a cool Disney backpack that I saw on punkin’s TR. Once I get those in the mail I’ll post pics. I also pre-ordered the photopass cd for the group share!! I’m so excited, I hope to get a lot of photopass opportunities this year!!

Also got this in the mail this weekend for Disney on Ice coming to town in December. Does this not look cute??? Should be a good show this year.

And another ebay purchase for the kids to trade pins this year instead of autographs since we did that last year:

Did I mention my pocketbook has really taken a beating here lately on Disney stuff???

I've been collecting Mickey heads from Home Depot too! My husband thought I was horrible. My only defense was, "but everyone else on the disboards does it too." He seemed amused by the fact that hundreds of people all over are "pocketing" (not stealing right?) the Mickey Head paint samples from Home Depot.

love the update! I really wanted to try Ohana's breakfast. The lanyards are so cute, I was really on the fence to try it or not, maybe next time... Love the dress , she'll have a blast!

Thank you! I think so too, but I am a tad biased! :rotfl2:

I know, I was suprised the guy I work with came back with 30! I figured I would have to make 2 or 3 trips to snag all that I needed, but I was lucky someone did the dirty work for me! :lmao:

Thanks! Hunter is really excited about the lanyards, he saw pics of Luke on timandlesley's report with the pins and he wants to fill up his lanyard just like Luke. I've been lucky to win some .50 bids on ebay (that is the only way it is going to get filled! ) I know, I just can't wait for the BBB appointment, I'm probably more excited than she is!

Great pins! Your DD dress is beautiful! She will love BBB. I think we are going to try Ohana's for breakfast next trip, you'll have to let us know how you like it!!:goodvibes

I've heard good things about the Ohana's breakfast, Hunter really likes Stitch so this is one he is looking forward to! I will take lots of pics and maybe even some for food porn! :rotfl:
