Chase Visa photo and rewards

I'm noticing some updates to the Epcot photo opportunity with the Chase Visa since we last used it. You no longer get the actual printed photo I guess. I'm trying to remember but it seems there was a limit to how many people could go in at a time. I am looking for a good opportunity to get a good photo with our large group. I was hoping this might be it even if it just goes on MM and not printed. Does anyone know if they would limit us? Going during a less crowded time and hoping that helps.

Also, I want to redeem points on my Disney card. I know you have to have $25 in points at minimum. After that, is it in increments of 25? Or will they just issue whatever you have as long as it's over 25? Anyone know? Thanks!

For the Disney Visa points, I'm not sure what the minimum amount is but they will let you transfer as much as you want over the minimum amount. No set increments at that point. You can transfer all or partial. Have fun!

You are allowed up to 6 people (including cardholder) per cardmember account.

  • You have to have a minimum of $20 in rewards available to order a NEW Redemption Card.
  • You have to have a minimum of $10 in rewards available to transfer to an EXISTING Redemption Card.
You can transfer any amount that's equal to or greater than the minimum.

I'm not sure how strict they are in the max people, but the new photo spot is smaller than the old one. I can't imagine you'd fit more than 6 in the photo. The photographer can't get far enough back to fit a really wide group in the frame. We had 4 people with two characters and that was about all of the width that would fit I'd think.

Thanks for this info. Have a possible trip in the works, and have always wanted to do this.

I just did this and I want to say to get the Dream Rewards Card was a minimum of $40..but then after that, you can continue to load it up with whatever new rewards you earn. So I just requested mine when I had like $60 on it, but I am still continuing to add little chunks of $ here and there until our trip.

Thanks, everyone. That does answer my questions. However, since the Character thing won't work out, do you have any suggestions where we might get a big group photo that is neat (background or characters that is definitely Disney)? Something that we don't have to pay extra for but that we could put on Photopass or even do with our own camera?

charter spot of EPCOT is good sort I think you will see 3 of them at different times I think it is Mickey mini and someone else

taken form Disney chase card you have to have $20 now

https://disneyrewards.com/how-to-redeem/

  1. Earn Disney Dream Reward Dollars® on purchases made with your Disney Visa Card.*
  2. Request a Disney Rewards Redemption Card as soon as you have at least 20 Disney Dream Reward Dollars.
  3. Use your Disney Rewards Redemption Card to get things at Disney. Your Disney Rewards Redemption Card is accepted at most Disney locations. Only instead of paying with U.S. dollars, you’re redeeming the Disney Dream Reward Dollars you’ve earned.

I've had the Disney Visa from day one (my card even says "Charter Cardmember" on it), and I can't remember it ever being anything other than $20.

there was just a few number being said ( $40, $25,$10) I did not want people to get confussed on the amount that you had to have,

If you don't get the photo, if you have Memory Maker, does it at least go on to that?

yes it goes on MM I do not do it any more as the lines are just as long and the charter spot ( or when I go it is) and I get free down load with my AP. I might go next time I am at EPCOT not sure it has been a while

This might be a stupid question, but is the photo still free if its on the magic band? We don't get the memory maker because its not worth it for us, so I loved getting a free photo!

Getting the free picture has nothing to do with having Memory Maker or a Magic Band. (Also, nothing is "on" a Magic Band - it's just a link to your MDE account.) Any picture you get taken by a PhotoPass photographer (not just the Disney Visa one) gets uploaded to your MDE account (well, you do need a Magic Band, plastic card ticket or PhotoPass card to be scanned by the photographer), and you'll be able to download the Disney Visa one for free. You can read more about it here:

What I posted above is correct and taken from DisneyRewards.com.
It's $20 to order a NEW redemption card.
It's $10 to reload an EXISTING redemption card.

Funny that you say the lines are as long as Character Spot. I always see big posted waits for Character Spot (30-60 minutes) but have never waited long at all at the VISA greet. Last time we never waited more than one group in front of us. And one evening I was even able to go back around a second time and see the alternate set of characters (the photographer thought it was really funny and could see how much I liked meeting them so he made sure to get a picture of mom with Minnie and Pluto -- without the kids).
