Does Chase still sponsor for cardholders a special viewing site for Illuminations?

They did last year, but it seems as though they are making the view area smaller and smaller. Went in 2014 and there was a large viewing area in front of Italy then we went last fall and it was not in same area and very small. I think you have to get a ticket in Chase lounge to be able to get in reserved area, the tickets are limited so get them early

SGMCO, may I ask where the Chase lounge is to get the tickets? And where was the viewing area the last time you went. Thanks!

According to a thread in the Rumors forum, Chase is no longer a sponsor of F&W and will not have a lounge available this year. :worried:

Yea chase is no longer a sponsor. No chase lounge this year

im about ready to cancel my Chase Disney card. there are less and less Chase card member discounts and deals :( points are not that great either :(

Last fall the Lounge was extremely crowded, they were only letting people in as people were coming out. You had to wait in a line outside until people came out then they would count how many could go in. The lounge has the "Create your Own Coke" machine and the line was very long, plus they gave you a disposable sample sized cup which only held about 1/4 cup soda, so people were taking longer, filling then filling again, it was crazy. I remember the first couple of years after this lounge open, it used be only for Disney Chase Visa then a couple of years after they started letting anyone with any Chase Visa go in (which is most park guest-it's a common Credit Card). I miss the old days.

Yes, I feel the same way. But I'm not going to cancel, I'm just have not been using it like a used to, there's not real advantage to having DV anymore. 1% is not much rewards, when there are so many other Reward cards that have better returns.

Yep, I am cancelling as soon as I get home from our trip 9/6-9/13. Will use it for the M&G at EP and DHS. Managed about a 40 dollar gift card from them, I just opened a Southwest card and will save WAY more by getting free flights than I did using Disney Visa.

I have both the Disney Visa and the Southwest Rewards card. The SW card is much better rewards wise. I only use the Disney one to get the merchandise discount and for the M&G.

For those talking about closing their chase visa accounts, you should know you can get all the same in-park benefits (the M&G and discounts and such) with the chase Disney debit card, and it's fairly easy to avoid paying any form of annual fee with it. The only thing I'm aware you miss out on is the rewards, which are paltry anyway. Just got mine in the mail today! :)

Plus you get to keep the intangible benefit of a card with the Mouse or the Castle in your wallet (though the designs are apparently more limited than the credit card)

Did the Chase Lounge ever have a Chaise Lounge? Just askin'...:duck:

I agree. Although I did enjoy the character experiences and photos. They have one in Star Wars with Kylo Ren. They spend a lot of time. I didn't love the one at Epcot. The line was long and it was only Mickey and Goofy with no Minnie
