Just found this article and wanted to let everyone know (hope this hasn't been posted). So I called Chase and it was confirmed that the Disney Visa debit reward card will end this summer. Here is the link to the articlehttp://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-03-21/jpmorgan-will-cease-debit-card-rewards-program-because-of-proposed-fee-cap.html.

Just to clarify... this is the debit card only.... the regular Disney Visa Rewards credit card is still good! ;)

Im glad its just the debit I was thinking I may have to cancel I just cant see paying the high inrest rate with out any reward >,<

You know, you don't have to even pay those high int rates. Just buy everything on the Disney Chase Visa, then transfer to a lower rate card. That's what we do.

Or, don't carry a balance on your credit card!
Yup, this is what we do.

I can understand Chase taking away the debit card... they make a whole lot more money on credit transactions. I get that it is a fraud protection thing too. I've seen rumors of a $50 daily debit limit. That means we would personally have to spread our grocery shopping over a couple days, couldn't take friends out to dinner and pay via debit, or even buy gas for my car!

ETA: Chase is saying a $100 daily debit limit.

Whew! What a relief, I read the title and nearly had a heart attack! Thanks for clarifying that it is the debit card only (which we don't have).

Certainly they knew this not even 2 years ago when they started the debit card...

Plus, they charge those that hold the card!

I called on this one and they told me I was grandfathered in...they weren't offering it new, but keeping it for those that already have it.

Ugh. Guess I have to call again...

I hope that's the case.....I can't get the credit card but have the debit card!! You would think they'd be sending out notices to those of us with the debit card if they were going to do away with the program this summer.

Hello there , just curious where or how do you get the Disney sign ,with the number of days until your next visit ? I would love to have that....

Funny place to ask, but no problem, it has to be asked somewhere.

If you click on somone's "ticker" it will take you to the site where they made it.

Like the one in the link below. I don't endorse it, just an example.

Then you upload your creation to your signature line. By Cutting and pasting the code "web address". This is the same as to how you would put a picture there. To do this, go to your profile or private message inbox and you will see "edit signature" on the left.

If that doesn't quite make sense look for information in the following link.

Yeah im nOt too happy about this change as i dont use credit cards. This, generally has been my family's way of lowering our resort price and was the main reason we switch to chase. Im contempleting just having the credit card to pay high purchases with like the mortgage just to get the points and then paying it right off. Ill have to consider if its worth it for us. Although i do love the perks as well.
