Chase Disney Rewards Credit Card???

Two questions...

How long does it take to get the card with the usable reward dollars to come? We are going June21st and want to allow enough time.

I have heard you can also redeem your rewards dollars in Down Town Disney?? Is this pretty easy or do you recommend I get it prior to leaving?

We picked up a rewards card at Downtown Disney. It was very simple. Just show your Disney Visa at Guest Services and they hand you a rewards card. You will then need to call Chase to have the reward dollars transfered to the card.

And the rewards dollars transfer practically instantly...so no worries! You can call card services, transfer your rewards dollars to the card you just picked up, then head right to a restaurant and use it.

You can also order one prior to leaving with a minimal number of points on it (10 or 20, I think) and then add more to that card from the website after you get it. (Or by phone, I guess, as others have said, but I have not done it that way.) The points are on the card instantly.

And I think I have received one in about 10 days.

So now in an attempt to follow my own advice, I just went to the Chase website, and they are doing maintenance, so you cannot order cards or add funds to them between now and Monday. Guess I'll be going to DTD after all.
