Does anyone know if there are charm bracelets that you can buy in the parks or DTD? If there is do they sell charms to add in everyone park? I would love to buy these for my girls and let them pick charms to add from each park.

They have them in California so I bet they have them in WDW too. I love them. In DL they had the same charms everywhere I looked, as far as I could tell. There were lots to pick from!

Yes, there are several areas in the parks and Downtown Disney to buy the bracelets and charms. The bracelets were $6 and the charms were $3 a piece. They also have a necklace that you can add the charms to. The necklaces were $8. My girls got the bracelets and we got a necklace for a gift for a friend. Now, they can keep adding charms. Great idea for a souvenir or a gift.

I just got back and the least expensive charms are all over the place (parks, hotels, everywhere it seemed). Even the expensive charms were found quite frequently. You should have no trouble finding these. I hope you and your girls have fun doing this! I just came back with a great watch that I got at Mouse Gears :)

The Wonderful World of Disney at DTD sells them!!

You might want to check out ebay. I did a search and they have a ton of Disney charms, bracelets, even charms with girls names. I think I would buy the bracelet BEFORE going to WDW and then add charms when you are there. I'd also get gold or white gold not sterling silver. I have a beautiful charm bracelet I received as a gift as a young adult but I never wear it as I don't like things on my wrist. I do love to look at it though and each charm has a nice memory.

Are these charm bracelets the bracelets with the dangling charms or the italian charm bracelets?

They sell both the traditional bracelets with dangling charms in 14k gold and sterling silver, and the new link bracelets that you can add links to. I started my bracelet many years ago and try to add a new charm every trip, my nieces wanted to wear mine so I started them the sterling silver ones.

The $8 bracelets and $3 charms are lots of fun- I've seen them at Mousegear in Epcot, at the shops at AKL and WL, and lots of other locations. These are "dangly" charms- they use little lobster clasps, so they're easy to snap on and off.

There are lots of "character" charms- the fab four, Tinkerbelle, the Princesses, Dopey, Pluto. Also both enamel and rhinestone letters. Lots of Mickey heads- patriotic, sparkly, enameled. Special interest symbols: bicycles, megaphones, sunglasses, palm trees, shoes, musical symbols, hearts, castles... just tons of different charms.

I think choosing charms at each park would be a fun thing for your girls to do, and not very expensive.

(Now, the sterling and gold bracelets and charms are very nice, too. Just not quite as affordable! :earsgirl: )

We did just this thing too. We had our bracelets before we went, and added charms quite frequently. One word of warning: The lobster-claw connectors are quite small, and didn't fit the links in our bracelets, so they would not close completely. Took them home and change the clasps (found at the craft store in the beading section) with no problems.

They also sell the charms and bracelets in the large shop in Toontown in MK. Just bought some last week.

:D

Boy, do they have charms. I'm a bit compulsive and I'm okay with that about myself. However, I started buying the sterling charms last year and I have over 30 now. At $15 to $25 each, I'm embarrassed to say how much I've spent on charms. They have really started adding more to the selection lately. In fact, I was there last week and they now have Sully, Mike, and Boo from Monsters, Inc. along with Lilo and Stich AND Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head. I bought them all as to not miss a new one. After my bill of close to $200.00 I started thinking about Monsters Inc. I liked the movie but dont' really need those charms, so I took them back before we left. Had to have the potato heads as it's a cult thing from my childhood! I'll try to stick with the truly Disney stuff from now on, but if they do come out with Toy Story I think those charms would be adoreable!!!!

TIP--I ended up purchasing two different cuff type sterling bracelets that have the little balls on each end. One ball screws off and you can slide charms and beads on and off as you please. I had super heavy jump rings soldered on my charms ( a must if you plan on keeping them and wearing a bracelet as I lost a Pooh charm before I did this) and this way I can change up my bracelet as I please. Some days it is all princesses and the Cinderella coach, others just Chip and Dale, the Potato Heads, etc. FUN and ADDICTING!!!!!

I love the cheap charm bracelet! I bought mine in May. The only downside is that the chain and charms are NOT sterling silver and mine has already started to turn greeny-black where the metal has worn off....but at that price, who can complain!

Trampslady: They do sell Toy Story charms. I am not sure where you can get them (mine came from a mall in MA) but I am currently sporting a Woody charm on my Italian charm bracelet. I love the "rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild wild west".

Too cute! I don't have the italian charm bracelet; mine are the individual three-d types charms. Lord knows I don't need the italian one too! Don't think I haven't had to remind myself on occasion!!

I didn't know they made 'good' charms too. I guess I don't spend enough time shopping. I think I may need one of those for myself. I have a huge collection of Disney 'stuff' from our visits, and I think I need to focus- Maybe charms and Christmas ornaments.... I sure don't need any more tee shirts!

Someone mentioned that the charms aren't very good quality -- are there real silver charms available in the parks?

I have a silver charm bracelet given to me on my 16th birthday (it was my mother's, given to her on her 16th), and I'd love to add a WDW charm to commemorate our honeymoon.
