I would like a sterling silver charm bracelet from WDW. I am not interested in the Italian charms nor the 'clip-on' charms. I really want sterling silver charms that must be sautered on. Is there a place where I can purchase these charms? I can find the other kind of charms, but no sterling silver ones. Even if I have to wait until I get home to get them sautered, I'd still like the charms. Thanks!

I know if a few sectionsat WoD and the better Jewely stores at the parks and some of the resort shops they sell the Real SS charms with just a loop in it to put on a necklace or have soldered on a charm braclete.

WoD also has some nice gold ones as well.

The sterling silver charms are getting harder to find, now that the Italian and enamel ones have gained such popularity, and there's often not a vast selection. The best luck I had was at World of Disney. There are shops here and there throughout the parks where you'll find them too. Good luck!

I started buying a charm each visit about 5 years ago, have to agree it's getting harder. World of Disney is best. Mousegear (Epcot) has them also, and so does the store in MGM that's in the strip on the left as you go in. MGM used to have the best selection, but this year there wasn't as much.

MouseGear in Epcot has them and there is a little jewlery store at MGM next to the entrance to Beauty & the Beast -- we started with a sterling tink last year. Good luck!

My charm bracelet has eight charms on it, so far! One for each trip.

Personally, I think Mouse Gears has the best selection. I was really disappointed at WOD in May. Prices generally range from $10-12 for something very simple (i.e., flat Mickey or Minnie head) to $18-36 for something fancier (i.e., Tink in a lantern, something with Swarovski crystals, three piece charm sets). It does seem like the selection is getting thinner every year.

I'd like to offer two pieces of advice. One, if you already have a bracelet, put a split ring on the bracelet before you go. The jump rings they include with the charm are not very strong. Two, the 3-D charms may be cuter, but the flatter charms are more comfortable. One of my charms is Dumbo and I can't tell you the number of times I've gotten a deep dent in my wrist from Dumbo's trunk.

I thought about buying a bracelet from James Avery and then just buying a charm at WDW. I'd have James Avery attach it when I got back home. Do you think that would work well or should I plan on attaching them at the parks?

Your jeweler will probably do a better job attaching it. They usually permanently solder them on. Personally, I'm too impatient to wait until I get home!

found the best selection of silver charms in Mouse Gears - also attached them myself at home using split rings and pliers - more secure than those rings they come with
