Charlotte Airport Layover Question

We are flying into Charlotte in two weeks on our way to Vegas. We only have a 40 minute layover. We are flying 1st class so we will be first off the plane. My question is will we have enough time to hit the ladies room and pick up food to take on the next flight? We are flying US Air. Does anyone know any place good to pick up food quickly other than McDonald's, etc? I was hoping to get a sandwich (Subway) or something. We are flying 1st class that leg as well but figure we are much better off grabbing something "fresh" since we are never certain what our meal choice will be once on the plane.

Depending upon which gate you come in it can be a hike. Say for example you come in at the E gates but your next flight is out of A or B, then you will need at least 15 mintutes to hike across the airport...maybe more depending upon your party and if you are delayed at all you will be pushing it. If food is more important...grab a bite to eat at one of the quick stations that have fresh salad or sandwiches which you don't have to wait in line for, then keep it moving.

BTW...Charlotte is my home airport and I fly USAIR alot so unfortunately I know how delayed they can be sometimes.

Looking at today's schedule, the flights from BUF to CLT are full size planes so you should not have to move from E. Both flights should be on B or C. There's a large food court between the two.
