Hi there, DISers!

So, I'm taking my first trip to WDW in eleven years this November (wooooo, so close!), and one thing that will definitely be different from the last time I visited is the shiny new iPhone that is now basically welded to my hand. I don't have the funds at the moment to spring for a fancy extra-battery case or anything like that, so I'm sure I'll have to do some re-charging in the midst of my daily park perusal. I know that there are some outlets in the new Tangled restroom area at MK, but I figured you folks would know of other places a girl could juice up her phone on the fly. Where are the spots I should look out for in MK? What about in Epcot, and Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios? Any and all tips would be greatly appreciated!

Lots of discussion about this.

There are quite a few outlets to be found around WDW,
Some in the restaurants and shops that guests have been using.

It's liable to be a big problem when all of FP+ gets rolled out to all guests.

That's what I'm anticipating. The "welded to my hand" comment was hyperbole; I'm really only planning on using it to take some (outdoor!) pictures/video and shoot off the occasional FB update, but I'll also be using MDE and definitely don't want to be at the mercy of the kiosks, if it can be helped.

I found one in Norway in the troll store room. Directly across from the troll there was a book display. Books about trolls. Lol. Anyway, on the floor right there is an outlet. I sat there charging my phone for a while as the kids walked around the stores.

There is a "rest area" at the new Fantasyland (Rapunzel) bathrooms that have power outlets. Nice place to sit for a minute and charge your phone.

I use a Mophie and haven't run out of phone battery yet!

How much they charge you LOL

I've gotten extra battery items like the PP at Staples and Office Depot. We even have a bigger (size and charge amount) from Home Depot, and it charges two items at one. Much easier to carry these portable batteries than sit and wait at a plug. $20 for Staples ones and $35 for the bigger HD one! Kids like them for their iPods!

This is what I use. It's only $20 with free shipping from amazon. You get at least 3 charges out of it. It's small and light weight.

There is also I slightly larger version which is $33, and it is a 2.1amp so it will also charge an iPad.

When you say three charges you mean before you have to charge the device again, correct? I don't see a power cord so I am wondering how this charger gets charged?

You use the cord that came with your phone. and plug the 1 end into the charger- like it was the wall, and the other into the phone like when you are normally charging. If you have an iPhone- you don't use the square wall outlet- you pull that part off and just put the port into the charger.

DW had better set up stations with like 50 outlets in an area for charging. Ideally for free since they are the ones making this online MDE FP system. Wonder if they have thought about that? In the meantime- I think I will spend the 15 bucks and just buy a charger like the ones posted. Seems like a great investment.

we were there in August and I needed to charge my i5 while at HS and right at the front of the park to the left is a charging station where you can leave your phone and come back to pick it up.

Thanks, Just bought 2 yubi power things, one for me and one for daughter, so thanks for the heads up on that! They had the best reviews and a great price! :)

How fast will the yubis ship and do they come with a USB to charge I may get the 4 pack.
