Ok....

We want to be able to take little cash and have a running total for our food purchases. I have heard you can charge your meals to your Disney Resort room in the parks. Is this true?

If so, is this only for the sit down locations? Does it include the counter restaurants? Any other details I need to know? :)

Any details would be great!! Thanks!

You can charge to your room if you put a credit card on file with your Disney-owned resort when you check in. I'm pretty sure you can charge CS bills to your room, along with TS bills. The only places that might not accept room charges are at the non-Disney resorts (e.g., Swan, Dolphin) and places that are not credit card equip.

Yes, figment jii is correct. With a credit card on file you can charge to your KTTW card. This is good for dining at Disney TS and CS restaurants, WDW shops and even some of the snack carts. Really the only thing you need cash for is the occasional snack from a cart that isn't equipped for credit cards. And there aren't that many of them now.

Also be aware, there are credit limits to your charging account.
Values - $500, Moderates = $1000, Deluxe = $1500.
If you reach that amount the card will be charged automatically and you will have to authorize additional charging privileges.

We ran into one popsicle/ice cream cart that couldn't take our room card, but it was about 50 feet away from another one that could, and they pointed us in the right direction. We didn't need cash for anything except pressed pennies the entire time we were in the park.
