Charging to room??

Can you charge everything to your room? Counter services? souveniers? misc stuff at giftshops?


We are hanging with the on Sunday!! cant wait!

Yes, yes, and yes.
When you check in to your Disney resort they will ask you if want to use your room card as a charge card. If you do they will ask for a major credit card and encode your room key in their computer system with your credit card info. The only exceptions are some of the stand alone carts in the theme parks that may or may not be able to take your charge. I understand they were setting them all up with phone lines to they could communicate with the computer system. There might still be some that cannot process the card.

We used our card for our trip 2 weeks ago. We only encountered 1 cart where they weren't set up to use it. We went to all the parks except MGM. HTH

Keep in mind that there is a preset limit, on what you can charge total. Values are $500, Mods $1000, and deluxe $1500.

You can however go ahead and let them run the charge through, and start over at zero again.

Example, we checked in on Fri. eve at Pop. On Wed. we were up to $417.00, so I had them go ahead and charge it to my account. By Fri, we were back up to $360.00, so I did the same thing, since we were going to Downtown Disney to do our final shopping spree. Then on the morning of checkout, they just charged the final $273.00. You can still use your room charge for the remainder of checkout day. Your CC, is just charged again, after your check out.

It is a great feature. We hardly carried any cash. Just enough in case we encountered a cart that could not take the room key. We used our key, for meals, kids clubs, and even our illuminations cruise.

Yes to all! We did this during our stay last week, and loved it. We also did our shopping and had them deliver our things to our resort. It was so great not having to lug our stuff around!
