Charging to room?

I spent some time yesterday reading the newbie threads, but couldn't find an answer to this question!

Can you charge to your room at DL like you can at DW if staying on site?

Coming from Canada and stockpiling gift cards to use towards food & shopping, and wondered if it was easier to charge to the room and then pay once at the hotel instead of pulling out cards every time we eat.

You can. However, I never do, so I’ll leave it someone more knowledgeable on the subject to provide detailed information.

Yes you can - if you look on the hotel pages for Disneyland Hotels, there is a section about the Key to the Magic card which is your room key. But you can use it to pay for merchandise as well as meals in the parks. I usually do so I don't need to carry more than my lanyard with my hotel key and park tickets in it!
