Is Universal like Disney in the way that you can charge meals, shopping etc... to your hotel room if you stay on sight?
hoping for one big credit card charge instead of alot if little ones !!

I pay as I go but get asked if I want to charge it to the room.
Alot of posters here say its better then the way DW does it.They will be along soon!:thumbsup2

I would charge to the room when i am in the parks, but always pay when out in Citywalk, not sure if you can charge to the room there.

I always turn down the room charging feature when checking in along with the mini bar.:thumbsup2

Yes of course, with your room card.
I love to do that.

theoretically, u can;)

Nascar has always claimed that the room key won't work:confused3, no issue ever @ Margarittaville for us

i suggest to carry backup, cash or CC

i mentioned it to the front desk several times, they indicate u can request the restuarant to call over to hotel for authorization as last resort

never an issue for us in the parks

fyi, typically, our room key tends to quit charging around noon day we checkout

i've done it both ways.

some trips i use cash outside of the hotel.
other times i use the charging on my account.

like someone said above, it is nice to be able to have one receipt to document your spending.

If you have a Discover card which is doing 5% back on Hotels, if you charge to your room they consider it a Hotel charge and you get 5% back (at least that happened at HRH last year-this year Discover caps it at $300). :cool1::cool1:

The thing I really like is that you can make purchases in the parks and they will have it delivered to your room at the resort. They won't let you do that day before you check out, though, as there won't be enough time to deliver the package.

We charged to our room at the Hard Rock for everything. Citywalk, and inside the parks. The single bill had its good and bad points. Good, because we could keep track of what we bought and see exactly what we spent all on one bill. It wasn't pretty. :rolleyes1
