Charging to Magic Bands

Can I link a CC to the Magic Bands and beable to charge dinner ( for ex: The Garden Grill) while staying at Fort Wilderness?

I tried doing some research into this and am not sure how to go about this. From what I can see the Magic Band is not linked to the CC? But the CC is linked to my room/site? So I have to go to the main office to put my CC on file for charging? Is there someway to do this online or no? I already did the online check in. Not sure it was in that or not, but if it was I do not think I added the CC.

You can not do it online, only at your resort. The concierge will be able to help you, you will have to set up a pin number to use when you do use your MB for charging. They will take care of all of this for you.

You have to link the cc at the resort. There is no place to do it on line. Also it doesn't actually link the cc to the magic band, just links the cc to the room so when you go to eat out you are generally just charging things to your room. Its extremely convenient and you could get carried away with all the charging (speaking from personnel experience, lol)

Haha it doesn't feel like spending money until you get your cc bill or your hotel invoice under your door...nothing prepares you for the shock.

I linked a credit card to my account in MDE before I made my ADRs, for those that require a credit card to hold the reservation. I recall setting up a PIN at that time as well. Does that mean my CC is linked to my band, or not?

I don't know about online, I always have the cast member at check in link the credit card. They link to your room/campsite reservation and will allow you to charge to your room/campsite, you use your magicband with a pin number, your server will have a band reader or there will be a reader on the counter at counter service places and stores. I always like to test the pin on a Mickey Bar (or at one of Mickeys Bars )

You can also use Gift Cards too at least the last time I went in 2014. This year we are loading our MBs with Gift cards that we purchase through the year. There a number of ways to aqquire them like credit card points or through your local warehouse club store. The CCs will still be on the account for back up which I think you need to have but you can pay down/ off the balance using gift cards. When we were there last, I think the charging limit was between 500-1000.

You can add your credit card and set up a pin during your online check in. You do not have to do it in the lobby. When you physically check in, they will confirm that you want to use the card you already set up, and you are good to go. I never had to pull out my card. It's too easy!

Yes. You are set up for charging once you arrive.
