We are staying at the SSR in late September...with free dining:banana: I wondered if we are able to view the purchases we charge to our room on the television. Is there a running total of daily charges or do they not do that since all the rooms are prepaid?? TIA. Sorry if this is posted on the wrong forum...wasn't sure where it should go?

You show them a credit card at check-in to 'secure' room charging abilities.

The charges are NOT visible on your TV. But you can go to the front desk at anytime to request a printout. Generally speaking I do this every day or every other day of each trip to ensure everything is correct.

Hope this helps!

Another suggestion here on the boards is to use a Blocked card ( No charging priv.) for your dining credits so they don't accidently charge them to the room instead of the DDP credits.

And As Knox we get a printout every other day as well to compair reciepts to.

I just got back from the Boardwalk Inn. I saw a guy at the desk with a manager and highlighter outlining charges he claimed weren't his. From that day on I asked every other day for a printout of room charges. I also kept my receipts to match the charges. All was fine.

I was just hoping to keep some control over spending:rotfl2: I never thought of the free DDP being charged to the room!! Thanks for the suggestions. I have so much to learn.

I never had a problem with this. I always checked the meal credits at the bottom of the receipts in order to make sure that they didn't charge them to the room.

If we dont want to use a credit card can we give front desk money to put towards our room so that we dont have to carry bank cards etc and just show our room card and have it charged. I mean give front desk 1000-2000.00 when we first check in.

The last time we went we didn't leave a CC at the front desk. I just carried my Disney CC with me and used that. I had read some reports of dining credits being charged so I didn't want that to happen to me. It was just as easy for me to carry my CC along with my KTTW card.

I hadnt planned on using a dining plan so I thought this would be just as easy have dinner use the card pay for it etc etc. And for buying stuff for the kids
