Can you change charging privileges once on-board? I am hesitant about giving my 10 year old charging privileges since we are unable to limit the amount spent, even though he is fairly responsible for his age. However, if we change our minds, can we go to Guest Services at any time and have them added to his KTTW?

Thanks!

Yes.

Yes, we have done just that, so I know it can be done. You can also check your account any time just to be sure all is ok (trust but verify!).

You could also just load money of a Disney Gift Card and let him use that...

I was thinking it would be a better than shutting him off completely. A sort of compromise. ;)

Are charging privileges 1 credit card per stateroom or can each guest specify which hotel card and have what credit card?

You can have different credit cards for different guests in the room but I suggest checking the statement closely as sometimes there are errors.
We let our son have the privileges but he has to text us for approval before spending.

Thanks! This is good to know and will make it easier than trying to figure out who charged what at the end of the cruise!

How do you set that up? Can it be done in advance or must it be done at port check in?

You do it at the port, but you can fill out the form ahead of time and have them sign it. At least that's how it works for adults. I'm not sure if it's the same for kids.

Here's a thought... Check and see if you can use prepaid credit cards. If you can, just get a prepaid Visa card with $xxx on it and that will be his spending allowance. Apply that card to his account.

That is brilliant!
