We will be staying at Newport @ DLP and had a question about paying for the park or meals. Does DLP work the same as Walt Disney World, where they let you use your room key to charge Disney expenses to your room? I can't seem to find any info on this.:surfweb:

Upon your arrival at your hotel, you will get the Disney Hotel EasyPass, that serves as ID (for the pool or the Extra Magic Hours, for example). At registration, if you ask for it, this EasyPass will serve also as a charge card for your purchases at the Disney boutiques and restaurants.

But, unfortunately, this EasyPass is a separate card from your room key.

The "Easypass" is also your hotel ID card so, you need it with you anyway for Extra Magic Hours entrance, swimming pool use, that sort of thing. :)

You must register your credit card details at check in to take advantage of it, we've used it once and I thought it was great, obviously a little easier to get carried away with the souvenier shopping than when carrying around hard cash.
Having recently been the victim of credit card fraud I will be more inclined to do this than use my card in the resort next visit, but then the whole experience has made me think twice about a lot of my spending habits.
