My family and I will be staying at PBH in two weeks. We are really excited because we are huge Harry Potter fans. I have a quick question, can we charge meals to our rooms? Does it have to be a sit down service? What about counter service? Help!! I tried to find the information on Universal's website but if it's there, I can't find it.

You can charge any restaurant TS or CS to your room. In either park and at CW.

Any souvenirs in the shops.

And...most carts too.

mof, we only take our AP and room key....if the cart doesn't take charge (which is unusual), we just go to another cart. (If you plan to play games tho, you need cash.)

You really shouldn't need to carry cash to make food and souvenir purchases.

Bubba's Mom,

Thank you sooooo much for the great information. I really appreciate it.

The only thing to note is that on the day you check in you cannot use your card for charging until after they give you a room number. I don't usually carry cash in the parks either and DH had all our cash and I was thirsty...went and grabbed a soda at the cart and the room key was not activiated yet for charging :) whoops!

The booth in the Lost Continent that sells the personalized coin necklaces does not accept the room key, nor does he give any discounts. I bought a sterling silver one and had a dragon castle and a butterfly embossed on it, but had to use my Visa, as I carry very little cash to the parks. He said he is an independent artist and Universal doesn't reimburse him.

Anyone know if this would apply for Horror Nights as well. I dislike paying cash or swiping my CC over and over for drinks during the event. Could these be billed to room (RPR) as well?

Thanks!

Marquibiri

dumb question (yeah i know). when you charge a meal to your room do they swipe your room key? how do they know you are the person in that room?

They swipe your room key and then you sign the receipt; just like a credit card.
