Charging items to your DVC room

Just wondering if you are able to charge your meals and other items to room, I know that we were able to do this when staying POR, just wondering if you are able to do it at the DVC resorts as well? Will they deliver your purchases to room as well? Are there any extra fee's involved? This was a great service, and we are hoping that we can have the same service now that we are DVC'ers.

Yes, you can charge to your room while staying at a DVC resort on points. Last time we were there, we had a CC that received double miles for hotel charges, so we charged everything!

They deliver to packages to the hotel gift shop, not to your room. -- Suzanne

You can absolutely do that. And the best part is that when that sad envelope is hung on your door on checkout day, there are no room charges! Just your purchsaes from the trip. I know that we all really did pay for our rooms, but to not have them on the bill and no tax...wow!

Yep, your room key is your key to the world. Whatever your heart desires... Disney/DVC will gladly let you charge it to your room.

With the exception of daily maid service, I can't think of any perks at a Disney resort that you don't also get at a DVC resort.

Just to clarify the statement about maid service... Daily maid service can be purchased for an extra fee by DVC members staying on points. It is included if you are staying at a DVC resort on a cash reservation.
