I would e-mail apple.com about this. It seems like you could get the regular US adaptor and plug the USB connector to that. We have one that just plugs in that costed about $20.00.

It will work, i pods charge anywhere, I bought one in the US and it carges through USB in the uk and also BOSE sound DOCK. The plug that we got with it adapts to uk and US.
