We just got back from a wonderful 13 day vacation to WDW and purchased the gold mickey ear hats. We opted not to get the names on them at MK, but instead payed $7.00 at downtown disney at the Olde Christmas shoppe for the machine done, extra thick embroidery. It looks so much nicer and is well worth the money. Esp. now since they are going to start charging for the thin embroidery.
Wow, we must really be going during the black hole week! First the change how you make the ADR's starting with this week. Next no codes no discounts. Now paying to get names on our Mickey Ears. What will they do to me next?

Oddly enough, I just realized I wouldn't complain if they raised the price of mouse ears $2. It's just the concept of paying for something that used to be free that irks me.
Yep the 90+10 started the week I was up for ADR's. I called on the monday it started just to get the "new" rules. I believe I was 94 days out for my trip. Two different CM's I talked to that day said I could make them 100 days out. Disney Dining was a mess that week. But atleast I got the ADR's I wanted. After all this planning for our first family trip I can not wait to be there.
I am wondering if I will be charged because when I ordered them from Disney Direct I was told that they would be free in the park to embroider them. I had told her when we were going. HHMM
last month you could still get it free at Chapeau, I know I'm spelling that wrong. They said they were the only store that would do it free, but they never mentioned starting to charge.
