Where can I charge a scooter if I need to at Epcot besides first aid? Yes I always charge fully every night. This is the second stinker Buena Vista Scooters has given me. Never again.
We found a lot of outlets in the big flower beds in
Future World. Wherever there are lights in the flower bed, you'll find a box with outlets on it. The outlets might be behind little doors.
Receptacles may be in columns here and there in buildings. Sometimes they are in the floor with a little hatch that a coin can be used to help flip up or unscrew. Have handy a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter to use as an extender in case the receptacle is too far down in the floor for the plug prongs to reach.
No, I didn't. This was a solo trip and very short, made even shorter by the snow storm in the northeast and a cancelled flight.
The first day it happened although I was suspicious I thought maybe it was undercharged. By day 2 it was obvious the battery was a dud.
SSR is a terrific resort but organizing a swap is complicated. Waiting around in a park wastes precious time. Looking for outlets to charge was my solution of choice.
If I had my family with me, if the trip was longer, if I'd been staying at BWV or BCV alternative solutions would have made more sense.
I stopped using them last time for this same issue. Bad luck? Who knows. Maybe they save the stinkers for me LOL. I rent at least to 3 to 4 times a year and this is not an issue I've had with any other company and I've used a few.
You see a boatload of Buena Vista scooters all over the place. They won't miss my business.
Ask any disney cast member and they will gladly assist you. I also recommend using a differant scooter company as we had issues with Apple on our first vacation and now we will only use Walker Mobility, no problems and always attentive.
We always charge my husbands scooter in the Living Seas pavilion! Right after you exit off of Nemo there is a wall in front of you. That wall has outlets available always! My husband can walk short distances without the scooter so we usually plug it in and go walk around the aquarium for a hour so it gets a little juice. It's nice and cool and a great dark place to just relax for a bit. You can also go to the seperate pavilion that they use during festivals (food and wine presentations are in there) last time we were in the there we noticed a ton of outlets and it's usually less crowded then everywhere else. If your in the country's, you can stop at the American Adventure inside the building. They allow you to sit in the first room and charge up if you need. Also in the American Pavilion, you can stop inside the Liberty Inn restaurant and charge while grabbing a bite to eat. They have outlets along the walls but also on the columns that are scattered between the tables. Another sneaky charging place as well is in The Land Pavilion. If you go towards Garden Grille and make a left towards the elevator, there is an outlet on the wall next to the elevator. If you get here before Garden Grille opens up for dinner, then you'll have a quiet spot to charge. During dinner, it can get super crowded. There's also one more outlet between the Garden Grille and the Lion King Nature Show. Hope this helps! We had our shar of bum scooters delivered to us from numerous companies. We go so much that we were tired of it and caved and bought our own portable scooter for him! Now we never HAVE to charge. If we have down time we plug it in just for piece of mind
