Hi--my brother is visiting me. I plan on going to Disney on a last minute trip (as in leaving Wed.). His sister in law just got and she said they had to have a special bus come for her as her daughter had rented an ecv. She said they also charged her for use of the bus. She stayed at Shades of Green. Has anyone heard of this? They were Disney buses.

Which bus are they talking about? Are they talking about a bus from MCO to Shades of Green? That they would be charged for because SOG is not eligible for Magic Express. But SOG does provide bus transportation from the hotel to the parks. The buses are ADA compliant.

If they stayed at shades of green they not Disney owned buses and Disney did not charge them. The shades of green uses a company called escort bus lines their the only other bus company that has the same bus as Disney so maybe that why they think Disney charged them. But Disney dose not charge any guest to use their buses that they own the ones that say Disney transport on the side. Disney buses do not enter the shades of green property as Disney dose not own the property as Disney donated it to them and they didn't want to pay Disney to be their bus service like the swan and dolphin. I would call back and find out why they got charged and who was the one to charge and why because Disney them selves have no way track who uses their buses so how would they start charging.

Unless the company didn't have the accessible bus available and got Disney to provide the bus. But the hotel or bus company shouldn't pass along the charge Disney them to do it if that it.

Disney use to use that company for shuttle service in the dtd because they have an accessible bus. But it was to much money so they stopped it so they do have a working relationship. I just don't honk Disney themselves would charge as they never ever did. Or thought they would be by passing along he expense of using the bus to the hotel to the guest.

Shades of Green is not Disney (it is owned by the Department of Defense) and their transportation is not provided by Disney,
